**Skills/Experience:**

+ Fundamentals of Mechanics, Electricity, Electronics, Pneumatics and/or Hydraulics and Petroleum
+ Mathematics and computer fundamentals
+ Critical thinking, active learning & listening, complex problem solving
+ Good reading and writing skills, strong judgment, and decision-making to be in line with policies & procedures

**Responsibilities**
**The Position:**
The Customer Support Field Engineer (CSFE) will be engaged through an Employer of Record and will provide services to Panasonic Avionics.
Serving as the on-site liaison between Panasonic and Airline Customers/OEMs, the CSFE will be responsible for ensuring customer satisfaction and the optimal performance of all Panasonic equipment.
Key responsibilities include providing service, technical guidance, support, and training to airline customers to help meet product performance and reliability targets. The CSFE will also represent Panasonic Field Engineering in resolving technical issues in collaboration with both Panasonic and customer engineering teams. Additionally, the CSFE will serve as a mentor and technical resource to junior Field Engineers.
+ Service, Support, Training and Troubleshooting
+ Provide technical guidance, formal training, and field assistance to other Panasonic personnel and airline customers in troubleshooting and resolving system hardware, network, and software issues. Provides accurate, detailed, and timely responses to problems and queries.
+ Provide troubleshooting assistance and support for new equipment installations, enhancements, or modifications for hardware, wiring, and software integration and issue resolution. Work closely with engineering departments to ensure timely and accurate corrective action is achieved.
+ Review mechanical, electrical, and software installation documentation to verify that all specifications are met.
+ Work with the training department to conduct operational, line, and maintenance training for airline customers.
+ Checks the reliability of data. Monitors trends and analyzes data to identify systemic problems.
+ Maintain a detailed working knowledge of aircraft avionics systems that interface with Panasonic equipment.
+ Participate in resolving system operation, maintenance or reliability issues by conducting investigations, collecting data to identify the scope of problems, and participating in the recovery plan as required with other departments. Monitor failure trends and possible quality or reliability problems.
+ Provide field inputs to other Panasonic departments, (i.e. Product Support Engineering, Field Engineering Offices, Repair Center, Training, and Program Management) concerning technical product issues, installation or documentation-related problems. Collect data required by Support Engineering to evaluate problem areas within the system software.
+ Provide a consistent communication path to engineering for problem resolution. Establish a strong inter-departmental Engineering interface and support.

+ Assists in aircraft delivery and support during flight tests and customer flight acceptance.

+ Work closely with the customer's technical departments in providing timely and accurate data, reports, and feedback.

+ Respond to all airline queries related to the operation & maintenance (non-PTS customers) of Panasonic systems.

**Qualifications**
+ Bachelor's Degree/equivalent educational qualification in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics, Engineering or related degree is preferred. 9 years of experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
+ Typically requires 5-7 years of experience as Field Engineer or Product Engineer, specializing in electronics/avionics systems, software or broadcast technology.
+ Extensive knowledge of Linux, Unix, Windows and VxWorks (or embedded operating systems).
+ Extensive knowledge of TCP/IP networks and troubleshooting methods.
+ Thorough understanding of wiring schematics, diagrams and other engineering/aircraft documentation.

Job Description
Responsible for helping the project managers in managing some tasks of the assigned projects effectively, as follow up the status of the engineering schedules with both the company technical office side and the projects consultants side as well, follow up issuing the PO's with the procurement, follow up with the subcontractors, etc.
- Develops projects objectives by reviewing project proposals and plans; conferring with project managers.
- Determines projects responsibilities by identifying projects phases and elements; reviewing bids from sub-contractors and suppliers.
- Determines projects specifications by studying product design, customer requirements, and performance standards; completing technical studies; preparing cost estimates.
- Confirms project performance by designing and conducting installation, operation and commissioning testing on all systems of the project.
- Establishes projects schedule by studying project plan and specifications; calculating time requirement; sequencing project elements and resources.
- Maintains project schedule by monitoring project progress; coordinating activities; resolving problems.
- Controls project plans by reviewing design, specifications, and plan and schedule changes; recommending actions.
- Controls project cost by approving expenditures; administering sub-contractor contracts.
- Prepares project status reports by collecting, analyzing and summarizing information and trends; recommending actions.
- Maintains project database by entering and backing up data of all projects.
- Maintains deliverables and company reputation by complying with legal regulations and delivering the work with integrity in time and according to the required specifications.
- Maintains a safe environment by enforcing procedures, rules, and regulations and follows up all HSE instructions.
- Good communication and negotiation skills.

ABOUT THE ROLE & TEAM
As a Field Operations Engineer, you will play a key role in supporting SITA's competitive edge and business growth by delivering high-quality technical field services support for our customers at airports and on-site locations. You will be responsible for executing all scheduling all field services dispatch and management activities in line with SITA's standards and procedures, ensuring exceptional customer satisfaction through top-tier maintenance and on-site support. Additionally, you will coordinate field engineer assignments, ensuring the right resources are deployed to the right tasks at the right time.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Allocate field resources, such as vehicles, tools, and equipment, ensuring that engineers are properly equipped for their assignments.
anage and optimize daily schedules for field engineers to ensure efficient resource utilization and timely job completion.
Track the location and status of field engineers in real time to ensure job progress and address any delays or issues.
Use dispatch software to optimize routes, minimizing travel time and fuel costs while improving service efficiency.
Act as the central communication point between customers, field engineers, and internal teams, providing clear and timely updates, including service schedules.
Prioritize service requests based on urgency, customer impact, and engineers' availability, ensuring that high-priority jobs are handled promptly.
Handle unexpected issues, such as delays, customer cancellations, or equipment shortages, by making real-time adjustments to the schedule.
Ensure that all service activities are accurately documented in the field service management system for tracking and reporting purposes.
Strictly adhere to standard protocols and applicable rules and regulations.
Provide administrative support to engineers by ensuring they have accurate schedules, job details, and required materials.
Maintain accurate records of job assignments, schedule changes, and service outcomes for reporting and analysis purposes.
Qualifications
ABOUT YOUR SKILLS
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electronic Engineering, or an equivalent recognized IT qualification.
Minimum 2 years' experience in onsite IT support, including incident support for items such as PCs, printers, and LAN/WAN equipment.
Proven ability to deliver IT services to external customers in line with Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
Proficiency in Field Service Management and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tools.
Strong data analysis skills to support technical decisions and reporting.
Demonstrated strengths in time management, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration.
Working knowledge of compliance, risk management, conflict resolution, and stakeholder engagement in IT service environments.
NICE-TO-HAVE
Experience in the Airport or Airline industry.
