**Performing medical review and clarification of trial-related Adverse Events (AEs) and post-marketing adverse drug reactions (ADRs) including narrative content, queries, coding, expectedness, seriousness, causality, and company summary and serve as an internal consultant to pharmacovigilance case processing teams.**
**Representing safety and clinical data review findings during internal and external stakeholder meetings**
**Providing medical safety support, contribution, and attendance at Safety Governance and other Meetings as needed.**
**Do you have the skills, experience and qualification required for the role:**
**A medical degree from an accredited and internationally recognized medical school.**
**Around three years of clinical practice experience with two additional years in the pharmaceutical or associated industry, or equivalent combination of education, training and required experience.**

**Job Overview:**
The Internal Translator is responsible for linguistically and culturally interpreting written material in a way that maintains or duplicates the structure and style of the original text, while keeping the ideas and facts of the original material accurate.
You will be fluent in two or more languages and skills that allows you to research industry-specific terminology, whilst possessing a strong commitment to quality and accuracy and show outstanding problem-solving skills when faced with difficult content and instruction.

**Overview**
The ICE IHSC exists within the organizational structure of the United States Enforcement and Removal Operations (ERO) under the supervision of the Department of Homeland Security (DHS). The United States Public Health Service (USPHS) Commissioned Corps Officers, civil service staff and contractors comprise the healthcare professionals working together to provide quality healthcare services. IHSC serves as the medical experts for ICE detainee health care. IHSC is committed to excellence in detention and correctional health care and the provision of safe and high-quality care to those in ICE custody.
**Description of Duties**:
The Medical Records Technician (MRT) is responsible for the day-to-day tasks required to maintain the electronic health record(eHR) for IHSC. The responsibilities include, but are not limited to receiving, scanning, verifying, and filing medical documentation ensuring complete medical records are provided when required. MRT’s perform daily checks within the eHR and address any outstanding items with the appropriate staff member. The role of the MRT is integral to the overall function of the clinic and patient care, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of available information for providers while also monitoring ongoing tasks for completeness. Through the eHR system, the MRT will schedule appointments as requested, perform data entry and running of data reports from the system. The MRT must always maintain confidentiality and security of the eHR. IHSC is a dynamic environment requiring flexibility by the MRT due to shifting priorities to meet mission needs daily.
**Duties and Responsibilities**:
- Prepares, updates, and maintains a medical record for each patient ensuring accuracy of information.
- Maintains appointment system for patients and clinical staff where applicable.
- Tracks compliance with internally scheduled patient appointments, making timely reminder notices to IHSC staff prior to each appointment where applicable.
- Files/scans laboratory, radiology, and other reports in appropriate sections of the electronic medical record within prescribed timeline.
- Routes clinical reports to appropriate clinic staff within prescribed timeline.
- Archives clinical information from the medical record within prescribed timeline in accordance with established IHSC policy and procedures.
- Reviews all documentation for completeness and routes incomplete documents to the appropriate provider for correction prior to placing/scanning in the medical records.
- Uses multiple systems to process a variety of narrative and tabular material (e.g., correspondence, tabular data, reports, etc.) to prepare, update, and maintain a medical record and provide required and requested information to appropriate medical personnel.

- Maintains a high level of proficiency and ease of use utilizing electronic health records.

The ICE IHSC exists within the organizational structure of the United States Enforcement and Removal Operations (ERO) under the supervision of the Department of Homeland Security (DHS). **Description of Duties**:
The Medical Assistant supports the delivery of medical care services for detainees held in the custody of ICE at a detention facility. Patients served may be adult men, women, and children. The Medical Assistant’s scope of practice will delineate the specific clinical duties performed to support the health care mission.
**Duties and Responsibilities**:
- Provides direct care to patients throughout the lifespan in adherence to the defined Scope of Practice.
- Completes all required competency assessments successfully and updates annually and/or as requested and attends all required training and completes successfully.
- Performs functions in accordance with current accepted practice and certification.
- Provides patient care under the supervision of licensed health care staff to include the registered nurse (RN), nurse practitioners (NP), physician assistant (PA), physician, dentist, psychiatrist, pharmacist, or behavioral health provider (BHP).
- Responds to health emergencies as directed by licensed health care staff.
- Asks patient health questions as directed by licensed health care staff.
- Completes required health documentation in the electronic health record.
- Prepares patient and examination room for health evaluation by licensed health care staff.
- Performs tasks for outpatient health care to include:
- Vital signs
- Fingerstick glucose checks
- Urinalysis, urine pregnancy test, urine drug screening, and other CLIA-waived tests performed at the facility.
- Rapid flu and strep testing.
- Phlebotomy
- Peak flow test
- Infant length/weight/head circumference
- Electrocardiogram
- Sterile set up and clean up for minor outpatient surgical procedures.
- Sterilization, packaging, and/or disposal of medical instruments.
- Management of medical waste as per requirements.
- Administration of basic first aid.
- Dressing changes as ordered by licensed health staff.
- Administration of immunizations.
- Serving as chaperone during patient examinations.
- Serving as scribe for patient health care encounters.
- Administration of medications via topical, oral, intra-muscular, intra-dermal, and nasally as ordered by licensed health staff.
- Other assigned duties within scope of practice.
- Performs required quality assurance testing and manages inventory as required:
- Maintains laboratory supplies and equipment.
- Assists administrative leadership in required supply ordering processes
- Perform required quality testing on CLIA waived equipment and maintain appropriate testing logs.
- Performs support tasks in the health clinic to ensure cleanliness and of medical equipment and furniture:
- Attends to safety and hygienic requirements and tasks to always ensure a safe and clean working environment.
- Attends to required tasks to that equipment, clinic room supplies, inventory, and logs are clean, functional, and up to date.
- Record refrigerator temperatures.
- Performs medication administration and assists with pharmacy tasks.
- Delivers keep on person medication to patients and obtains appropriate detainee signature documenting receipt of items.
- Administers medication via pill line and documents appropriately in the medication administration record.
- Professionally manages clinic telephone calls to include taking messages, transferring telephone calls appropriately, and alerting appropriate licensed health staff immediately for calls of an urgent nature.
