Job Summary

The Transportation Manager is responsible for managing the company's vehicles and transportation processes to ensure that goods are delivered to customers on time, safely, and efficiently. This position requires coordinating dispatch, optimizing routes, and controlling transportation costs, while complying with traffic regulations and company safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

Manage the company's transportation team, including drivers, dispatchers, and vehicle maintenance personnel.

Plan and optimize transportation routes to improve transportation efficiency and reduce costs.

Arrange vehicle dispatch and cargo delivery plans to ensure timely delivery of customer orders.

Oversee the safety of goods during transportation to minimize the risk of damage, delays, or loss.

Communicate closely with the warehousing, customer service, and operations teams to ensure a smooth transportation process.

Oversee vehicle maintenance, inspections, and servicing to ensure vehicles are in good operating condition.

Develop transportation policies, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and safety procedures, and train the team on their compliance.

Monitor transportation costs, analyze efficiency data, and propose improvement plans.

Handle customer complaints or transportation anomalies, provide solutions, and enhance customer satisfaction.

Job Requirements

Bachelor's degree or higher in Logistics Management, Supply Chain Management, Transportation Management, or related fields preferred.

At least 3-5 years of transportation management experience, preferably with courier, logistics, or freight companies.

Familiarity with transportation regulations, road safety standards, and vehicle management.

Excellent team management and communication skills.

Ability to analyze transportation data and optimize routes and costs.

Strong ability to handle urgent transportation tasks and peak demand.

Fluent in English or the local language, with experience in cross-regional transportation preferred.

Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Truck Driver at MomentumSphere Solutions, located in Cairo, Egypt. The Truck Driver will be responsible for operating a truck to transport goods, ensuring compliance with DOT regulations, loading and unloading cargo, and maintaining the truck in good working condition. The role also includes completing necessary documentation and performing regular safety checks.

POSITION SUMMARY

Transport guests to/from assigned destinations using property vehicle. Document all trips prior to the start of and at the conclusion of each trip. Park vehicle in designated location when not in use. Inspect property vehicles for damage and cleanliness. Check tire pressure and fluid levels for property vehicle, and refuel as necessary. Notify appropriate personnel of any vehicle maintenance needs. Document all vehicle incidents (i.e., damages, accidents) and provide reports of incidents to manager/supervisor.

Report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to manager; complete safety training and certifications. Follow all company policies and procedures; ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional; maintain confidentiality of proprietary information; protect company assets. Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards; anticipate and address guests' service needs; assist individuals with disabilities; thank guests with genuine appreciation. Speak with others using clear and professional language; exchange information with other employees using electronic devices (e.g., pagers and two-way radios, email). Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others. Comply with quality assurance expectations and standards.
