About the Role

As the Engineering Manager, you will lead the Technology Department and be responsible for the entire technology stack, from strategy to execution. What We're Looking For:

  • Experience: 8+ years of overall experience in software development, with at least 3+ years directly managing a team.
  • Technical Background: Strong hands-on background in building and managing web applications (not just websites). Required technical experience includes: (Python & PHP, AWS,  Database Administration (MySQL), DevOps principles)
  • Management Skills: Proven ability to lead, mentor, and grow fully remote teams and manage complex projects from conception to delivery.
  • Methodology: Hands-on experience with Agile development and project management tools.

You should be:

  • Excellent strategic thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Outstanding communication skills, both technical and business-oriented.
  • Strong leadership and collaboration abilities.
  • Fluent in English (written and spoken).

Work Hours: Must be available for a full-time (9 hours/day) schedule with a 4-hour overlap with PST. The optimal working window for this role is 2:00 AM to 11:00 AM PST to align with the core team hours.

Key job responsibilities
The Facilities Supervisor - Maintenance will be responsible for the leadership/development and coaching of the team. Performance Management will be carried out by the Facilities Supervisor - Maintenance. This role also leads the technical team in providing both a reactive and pro-active maintenance service on all operational equipment and facilities infrastructure within the AMZL Distributions Centers. The role has a direct impact on the site, its productivity and operational success. If equipment is not available or performs badly it minimizes the capacity and throughput of the site.
Responsibilities will include:
- To provide supervision and leadership to Maintenance Technicians
- To develop and deliver Preventive Maintenance programs
- To be experienced in installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting any of the following: relay logic, ladder diagrams, controls components, sensors & scanners, motor starters, relays, limit switches, electronic sensors, servo drives, frequency inverters, linear drives, sorters, mechanical components (rolls, bearing, belts)
- To act as an ambassador for safety within the team and to promote safe working across the site
- To support technicians by motivating, providing knowledge and hands on experience
- To develop and maintain a good working relationship across all levels in the organization
- Ability to provide enriched feedback to enhance individual performance
- Ability to prioritize and manage resources under high pressure
Basic Qualifications
- Multi skilled in either electrical or mechanical disciplines with at least 2 years' experience.
- Solid foundational knowledge of PLC based controls systems and mechanical componets
- Experience using CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems) to plan proactive maintenance and record reactive tasks.
- Understanding of OEE and equipment performance metrics.

The RME Manager role is an integral part of the Amazon operations and will be responsible for all facilities maintenance tasks through direct reports and via third party contractors.
Position is a crucial to enable our Operations team to work on our Customers experience.
DUTIES:
The RME Manager is the direct superior of the Facilities team. Ensures safety focus by training, developing and coaching the team. Takes care of the high availability of the equipment by ensuring that all preventive maintenance is carried out and internal processes and procedures are created / maintained.
MAIN OBLIGATIONS:
- Lead, support and mentor the team based on identified barriers that ensures the team is working safely, with high standards and effectively.
- Ensure team expertise through training.
- Identifying root causes of problems and providing remedies
- Main deputy for the RME manager when he/she is not on site.
- Ensure, in cooperation with the team, compliance with safety regulations and record-keeping of activities performed
- Implement Amazon standards and focus on preventive maintenance to ensure a high level of equipment availability for our internal customers.

- Ability to install maintain, and troubleshoot power distribution systems, branch circuits,lighting systems, transformers, and wiring methods and materials, with the team
- Ability to install, maintain, and troubleshoot photo eye components, motor starters, relays, limit switches, proximity sensors, timers, servo drives and frequency inverters etc. With the team
- Knowledge of Material handling systems equipment and its trouble shooting.
- Develop and maintain good working relationships across all levels in the organization.
- Ability to provide enriched feedback to enhance individual performance.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in electrical or mechanical engineering, engineering technology or equivalent
- Knowledge of Computerized Maintenance Management System programs
- 7+ years of project management and implementation experience
- 8+ years of team leadership experience
- Experience with preventive maintenance procedures, industrial electrical, industrial controls, and industrial electronics & robotics
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing tools such as: 5S 5Y FMEA PDCA Value Stream Mapping DMAIC Run Charts Pareto Analysis
- Experience with Blueprint and electrical schematic reading

The RME supervisor will have a significant impact on customer experience. He/She will have the ability to lead and manage external contractors, be on call for emergencies, to handle multiple projects and daily activities, and meet tough time lines. The RME supervisor will develop plans on how to accomplish engineering departmental goals.
RME supervisor job is shift base schedule in the fulfillment center.
The RME supervisor will be responsible for the leadership/development and coaching of the team. Performance Management will be carried out by the RME supervisor - Maintenance. This role also leads the technical team in providing both a reactive and pro-active maintenance service on all operational equipment and facilities infrastructure within the Fulfillment Center (FC). The role has a direct impact on the site, its productivity and operational success. If equipment is not available or performs badly it minimizes the capacity and throughput of the site.
Key job responsibilities
- Lead, support and mentor the team, ensuring they are working in a safe, standard and efficient manner.
- Have subject matter expertise for critical MHE and Original Equipment Manufacturer assets, and be able to build knowledge on at the introduction of new assets into the network
- Handle basic troubleshooting for base building systems (FA/FF - Electrical distribution -HVAC-BMS- Plumbing )
- Work with the team and the wider network to harness the technical expertise available and build solutions.
- RME supervisor is the shift base job responsible for handling breakdowns, Incident; Stakeholders conflict
- Support Reliability and Sr. Reliability manager with the management of budget, critical spare components, purchase orders, and change orders that are needed to complete capital projects related to critical equipment assets.
- Keep the APM (Asset performance management) metrics achieved and raise the bar on all performance and compliance KPIs
- Support the Reliability Engineering Manager as they work with the Site Safety department & Site Leadership to implement, record and audit safety and statutory compliance programs to provide a safe working environment for all staff.
- Complete critical equipment audits and site health assessments in accordance with corporate standards and procedures
- Develop maintenance standards, documentation, and practices for critical assets.
- Implement network standards and focus on preventative maintenance to provide a high level of equipment availability to our internal customers.
- Ensure sufficient technical coverage is available for the shifts they own by organizing and directing the training program for the team.
- Organize local projects or support MENA level projects as assigned by the manager.
- Demonstrate practical engineering experience including a supervisory role managing people.
- Have and experience of automated equipment including packaging machinery, sortation and conveyor systems.
- Have an experience of working to appropriate health & safety standards and regulations.
- Develop and implement vendor annual maintenance contracts AMCs with appropriate service levels for equipment.
- Manage a team of Maintenance Supervisors & Technician's. Define goals, priorities, organized staff planning, staff training to ensure service levels.
- Keep people working in a safe environment, applying the Amazon Safety Policy and working with the Safety team to improve safety on site.
- Ensure That workplace/ assets are clean and in 5S
A day in the life
- Daily Monitor and respond to RME customers requests through trouble ticketing system and always show customer obsession behavior.
- Ensure quality service received by annual maintenance contract vendor and verify that through raising any fail against the SLA (service level agreement)
- Supervise IFM contractor for refurbishment and upgrade works for building finishes, fixtures, fittings and equipment, fixed furniture and OPS equipment like Trolley, Cages, Carts
- Follow up MHE (conveyors) performance & OEE through SCADA system and manage technicians to reduce MHE downtime
- perform 2 GEMBA walk per shift according to schedule to ensure site & equipment readiness
About the team
The Site RME team is Managing whole Building engineering and facilities related day to day issues and projects as well, including Technical services (Base Building, MHE material handling equipment, Planning and Automation) and soft services
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in mechanical, electrical, industrial or automation engineering, or related field
3+ years of using a computer maintenance management system in planning, scheduling and auditing overall facilities/maintenance activities experience
3+ years of data analysis in the facilities maintenance program, specifically in asset management and spare part optimization experience
3+ years of working with computers and Microsoft Office products and applications experience
High school or equivalent diploma
Work a flexible schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays
Knowledge of diverse MHS, industrial mechanical and electrical systems and automation, controls and robotics systems
Basic experience using project management software, Microsoft Office, asset management software and CAD software (AutoCAD)
Advanced proficiency in verbal and written local language and basic proficiency in English
Work a flexible schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays
Preferred Qualifications
3+ years of maintenance planner/scheduler working within an industrial maintenance complex, manufacturing/distribution industries, or equivalent experience
Experience in material handling systems (MHS) installation, operation and maintenance
