Job Summary:
We are looking for an Operations Manager for one of our clients to ensure their Web Division operates as a cohesive, efficient, and high-performing unit. You will be responsible for implementing and maintaining division-wide operating models, performance frameworks, and compliance standards. This role is crucial in enabling sustainable growth and reliable delivery across all functions including engineering, product, product design, QA, and project management.
You will work closely with division leaders (Head Product Owner, Engineering Manager, Product Design Lead), focusing on building and maintaining the processes, metrics, and talent infrastructure that drive our success.

Key Responsibilities:

Operational Strategy & Efficiency:

  • Implement and continuously improve division-wide operational standards and SOPs
  • Ensure division-wide consistency of sprint planning processes
  • Facilitate sprint alignment meetings across teams and support quarterly operational reviews
  • Identify inefficiencies and bottlenecks across teams, implementing process improvements

Performance Management:

  • Support the division's performance review framework across all roles
  • Monitor division KPIs (velocity, SLA adherence, delivery predictability, etc.)
  • Provide regular operational insights and reports to the Web Division Manager

Talent & Organizational Development

  • Partner with HR on talent acquisition for division needs

Your responsibilities:
- Managing the site-based Inventory Control and Quality Assurance team,
- You'll maintain Health and Safety standards within your sphere of influence, actively promoting a positive Health and Safety culture on-site,
- Monitor KPIs regarding accuracy and integrity of Quality and Inventory transactions; then, you'll provide feedback to Operations where necessary,
- Review and analyze customer defect data, while developing corresponding action plans to reduce and eliminate causes of any issues,
- On a daily, weekly and monthly basis: develop and execute action plans for increasing quality, inventory accuracy and service satisfaction,
- Partner with Management in the communication of Inventory Control and Quality Assurance policies and procedures: you'll keep an eye on compliance in your Fulfillment Center,

DESCRIPTION
When you join Amazon as an Area/Shift Manager, you'll gain experience leading a large and diverse team to make sure your area of the business keeps pace with demand. In this hands-on role, you'll learn about the complexity of operations at a global business and what it takes to make everything run seamlessly. While you implement your team's approach to drive productivity, you'll also work closely with your colleagues to address challenges, which means no two days will be the same.
Key job responsibilities
- Promote a culture of safety and wellbeing
- Analyse and implement corrective actions to make sure quality and productivity are at consistently high levels, and business objectives are met across all shifts
- Support and lead a team and handle administrative work alongside building and supporting a strong team culture
- Analyse performance and suggest process improvements to optimise work and improve customer service
- Collaborate with other managers to standardise shift processes
A day in the life
You'll work shifts and be based at one of our operational sites. Your main focus will be to maintain safety standards within your team and across your site. You'll also monitor and maintain process efficiency. Your days will always include prioritising routine team management and daily operational tasks, alongside other tasks like individual escalations, process improvement work and wide-scale operational contingency planning.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent, or 2+ years of Amazon (blue badge/FTE) experience
- Work a flexible schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays
Preferred Qualifications
- 1+ years of performance metrics, process improvement or lean techniques experience
