Job purpose:

The Senior Technical Operations professional ensures the stability, performance, and optimization of technical systems. They lead troubleshooting efforts, resolve complex issues, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance system efficiency and reliability. This role plays a key part in supporting business operations during critical events and outages.

Responsibilities:

  • Take ownership of high-priority technical incidents, ensuring timely resolution while minimizing system downtime and impact on business operations. Make decisions on escalation to relevant teams if necessary.
  • Lead investigations into recurring technical issues, perform detailed root cause analysis, and implement permanent solutions to prevent future occurrences. Own the decision-making process for corrective actions.
  • Oversee the monitoring and optimization of system performance, making decisions on necessary improvements to enhance efficiency, scalability, and reliability.
  • Act as a key liaison between different teams (Development, IT, Support) to align on operational objectives, ensure smooth communication, and drive technical solutions for complex issues.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements within technical operations, implementing best practices, and driving continuous improvement across systems and workflows. Own the decisions on process changes and their implementation.
  • Take charge during system outages or critical events, making swift decisions to mitigate impact and restore service as quickly as possible. Ensure post-incident analysis and follow-up actions are completed.
  • Own the creation and maintenance of technical documentation, ensuring that solutions, troubleshooting steps, and best practices are shared across teams to enhance operational efficiency and team knowledge.

Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years of experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
  • .NET: Proficient in using the .NET framework for troubleshooting and supporting related applications.
  • Microservices Architecture: Strong understanding of microservices architecture for system design, troubleshooting, and ensuring scalability and resilience.
  • Java: Knowledge of Java for debugging, issue resolution, and ensuring smooth operations across systems.
  • MS SQL Server: In-depth experience with MS SQL Server, including database troubleshooting, performance tuning, and query optimization.
  • MongoDB / PostgreSQL: Familiar with both NoSQL (MongoDB) and relational (PostgreSQL) databases, focusing on issue resolution, data integrity, and system optimization.
  • Complex Queries, Stored Procedures, Views: Expertise in writing and troubleshooting complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and views to resolve operational issues.
  • Postman / API Execution: Proficient in using Postman for testing and executing APIs, ensuring reliable communication and functionality across services.
  • Application Performance Monitoring (APM) / Logs Investigations: Experience using APM tools (e.g., New Relic-Kibana) and analyzing logs to monitor system performance and diagnose issues.
  • Debugging Code: Skilled in identifying, diagnosing, and resolving code issues to ensure smooth system operations and reduce downtime.
  • Conducting investigations and troubleshooting technical issues
  • Documentation: Strong ability to document technical processes, solutions, and troubleshooting steps for future reference and knowledge sharing.
  • Administer Jira Data Center – Manage clustering, upgrades, re-indexing, and ensure platform stability and performance.
  • Configure & Govern Workflows – Design and maintain ITSM-aligned workflows, screens, and permissions across projects.

IT Technical Support Senior Specialist.IT Operations & Infrastructure D1)

Description

Job Purpose

Provide full support "Fixing problems-Deployments-Upgrades" to all client-side related problems as a second line of support. Provided support covers operating systems, applications and SW, HW assessments, etc… Manage and support all client-side related projects, when it comes to new services provided, or new ideas introduced, for client machines located inside main buildings.

Providing support services to ETISALAT MISR Desktop Infrastructure Systems.Supporting Microsoft's User Applications and Operating Systems.Manage and Administrate Active Directory Objects creation, deletion, updating and cleanup.Supporting ETISALAT employees and outsourcing located at ETISALAT main buildings inside Cairo.Using remote supporting tools like (SCCM, remote desktop, dame ware, VNC) to remotely solve escalated incidents.Supporting ETISALAT MISR applications (CRM Applications, Internal Used Systems)Using HPSM engine application to respond to technical problems escalated from the first line of support.Resolving more than 90% of the reported problems on the spot to exceed the required internal SLA's.Manage and Handle problems in the problem management context.Handling Mails forwarded to the IT Technical support team.Handing projects and tasks assigned to the IT Technical support team.Participate in deploying and installing new software packages and applications, in addition to the implementation of new technical projects and solutionsCreating and developing scripts and tools that automate certain daily tasks

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS_ESSENTIAL

University Degree in Computer Science / Engineering. Excellent in managing people. Excellent Computer skills. Excellent in Arabic & English (Reading, Writing & Oral). Excellent communication and customer oriented skills.

EXPERIENCE_ESSENTIAL

Minimum 1 to 2 years' Experience. Experience in managing Microsoft IT based operations.
