Description

Role Purpose

The Tax Officer - Azadea Business Services is responsible for executing the tax process and assist in the preparation of the Tax Returns across all countries of the Group.

Key Responsibilities
- Extract data needed for the Group's tax filings for all direct and indirect taxes (Corporate income tax, VAT, WHT, etc.) for the countries in scope
- Review data, accounting transactions and supporting documentation and ensure full compliance with the Group's tax policies and procedure, and local tax legislation for all direct and indirect taxes (Corporate income tax, VAT, WHT, etc.) for the countries in scope
- Prepare and maintain the needed reports and reconciliations for the preparation of the tax returns for all direct and indirect taxes (Corporate income tax, VAT, WHT, etc.) for the countries in scope in a timely and accurate manner
- Liaise closely with the Regional Tax Team and subordinates on all tax related queries to ensure that accurate and timely information is always provided
- Assist the Regional Tax Team with the preparation of the documents and reconciliations needed for Tax Audits or Tax Filings done at Group Level
- Ensure high level of customer service is delivered and maintained and that internal customers are satisfied by meeting all internal SLA’s and by following up on requests in a timely manner.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance; Master’s degree is a plus
- 3-4 years of experience in accounting with tax compliance, Big 4 / large group experience is a plus
- Proficiency in MS Office
- Fluency in English, Arabic, French is plus

**Role Requirements:**

**- Assertive and able to work both independently and within a global team**

Tax
- At EY we support you to aspire for a self-controlled career path. This is reinforced by a Tax focal graduated development program called Tax U, that covers a suite of Technical, Non-Technical and Behavioral learning interventions aimed at a seamless transition from University to EY.
- You will undergo a rotation in some of our busiest service lines, to experience real tax projects, mentored by the best in industry mentors and coaches.
- This multi-year immersive learning journey will offer opportunities for you to build critical skills you need, to accomplish and lead MENA Tax deliverables.
- All this will be done through a blended approach of virtual and classroom trainings and a strong component of experiential learning that is transferrable on the job.
- We strongly advocate continuous learning and you will be encouraged to complete a Professional Qualification; with financial and technical support you require to excel.
- You will also undertake cross border projects that are aimed at attaining a global view of our Tax practice.

- ** Qualifications**:

- Major in Accounting, Finance,
- 0 -18 months of relevant work experience
- Available to start full-time job by end of July
- Should possess basic knowledge of Tax, payroll, withholding tax
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Arabic and English - French Language is a plus
- Egyptian nationals will only be considered
