Role Purpose
The Tax Officer - Azadea Business Services is responsible for executing the tax process and assist in the preparation of the Tax Returns across all countries of the Group.
Key Responsibilities
- Extract data needed for the Group's tax filings for all direct and indirect taxes (Corporate income tax, VAT, WHT, etc.) for the countries in scope
- Review data, accounting transactions and supporting documentation and ensure full compliance with the Group's tax policies and procedure, and local tax legislation for all direct and indirect taxes (Corporate income tax, VAT, WHT, etc.) for the countries in scope
- Prepare and maintain the needed reports and reconciliations for the preparation of the tax returns for all direct and indirect taxes (Corporate income tax, VAT, WHT, etc.) for the countries in scope in a timely and accurate manner
- Liaise closely with the Regional Tax Team and subordinates on all tax related queries to ensure that accurate and timely information is always provided
- Assist the Regional Tax Team with the preparation of the documents and reconciliations needed for Tax Audits or Tax Filings done at Group Level
- Ensure high level of customer service is delivered and maintained and that internal customers are satisfied by meeting all internal SLA’s and by following up on requests in a timely manner.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance; Master’s degree is a plus
- 3-4 years of experience in accounting with tax compliance, Big 4 / large group experience is a plus
