Key responsibilities:

Develop sustainable irrigation systems (drip, bubbler, spray)

Prepare IFC/shop drawings, hydraulic calculations, and pressure loss analysis

Ensure compliance with international standards (IPC, BS, etc.)

Coordinate with architecture, structure, electrical, and landscape teams

Job Requirements:

Minimum 5 years' experience in mechanical/infrastructure design

Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit MEP, and Navisworks

Strong background in irrigation and wet utilities design

Excellent communication and coordination skills

Work Environment:

Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Wet & Utilities Design Engineer. The position is located in Cairo, Egypt. The Wet & Utilities Design Engineer will be responsible for designing and reviewing utility systems and infrastructure, ensuring compliance with engineering standards and regulations. Key tasks include creating and modifying CAD drawings, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, and supporting the implementation of utility projects from inception to completion.

Job Responsibilities:

• Design and develop hydraulic and wet utilities systems, including water supply, sewage, seawater, and drainage systems for various infrastructure and building projects.
• Prepare design calculations, technical reports, specifications, and drawings for utility networks, ensuring compliance with local and international standards.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate wet utility systems into overall project designs.
• Conduct site visits and inspections to assess existing conditions and identify any potential issues.
• Provide technical support and coordination with clients, contractors, and project teams throughout the design and construction phases.
• Ensure all projects are completed on time, within budget, and meet the required quality and regulatory standards.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of engineering design processes and standards.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Civil (or a related field).
• 7-10 years of professional experience in designing and implementing hydraulic and wet utilities systems, preferably in an engineering consultancy environment.
• Strong technical expertise in the design of water supply, sewage, stormwater, and drainage systems.
• In-depth knowledge of relevant design codes, standards, and regulations (e.g., Egyptian Standards, international standards like ASCE, AWWA, etc.).
• Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and hydraulic modeling tools (e.g., Bentley Water CAD, Sewer CAD, EPANET).
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with clients and project teams.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a keen attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of environmental considerations and sustainability practices in utility design is a plus.

• Assist in providing Service Operations support to internal customers under supervision and in accordance with established guidelines
• Support the functioning and maintenance of internal systems and products under guidance
• When required act as the customer SPOC and co-ordinate the scheduling of intervention with Customer's internal resolver groups and the Service Desk ensuring the highest level of customer services and communications are maintained to resolve the fault and incident within the prescribed SLA
• Assist in incident and problem management and support resolution efforts with resolver groups
• Support timely escalation of issues to specialized resolver groups as per internal procedures

• Assist in detecting and diagnosing service and infrastructure issues under supervision
• Support installation and maintenance tasks using appropriate tools under guidance
• Report unresolved issues to senior team members

• Basic knowledge of Cloud & Virtualization concepts (IaaS / DaaS / PaaS / SaaS)

Knowledge & Skills:

Knowledge and understanding in one or several of the following domains:

• Installation and configuration of end user applications and software
• Ability to analyse and assist in resolving customer issues under supervision
• Basic troubleshooting skills in Servers and Virtualization
• Ability to collaborate with peers and support teams
• Knowledge and ability to install configure and maintain operating systems including Windows / Linux / Unix
• Basic troubleshooting skills for Cloud end user issues
• Thorough understanding of ITIL processes
• Well versed in IT, Network components and principles
• Ability to troubleshoot LAN topologies based on TCP/IP
• Basic understanding of Public Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)
• Basic knowledge of Container orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Exposure to CI/CD pipelines for Azure & AWS is a plus
• Willingness to learn and handle customer issues with guidance

Education & Qualifications

Key Responsibilities:
