Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Junior Accountant located in Cairo, Egypt. We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Analyst with a strong background in financial analysis and loan underwriting to join our team in Cairo. The ideal candidate will support underwriting of complex commercial real estate and small business loans, with a focus on transit-oriented development financing across acquisition, predevelopment, and construction stages. This role will also drive business development initiatives for the organization's small business loan fund by identifying and cultivating potential borrowers.

The Financial Analyst will prepare investment recommendations to support senior management decision-making and ensure compliance with all loan documentation and regulatory requirements. Prior experience in loan underwriting and extensive knowledge of commercial loan documentation are essential for success in this role.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, underwrite, and recommend decisions on new loans, renewals, and modifications while ensuring credit quality and soundness.
• Analyze and interpret financial statements, tax returns, rent rolls, leases, and other borrower documentation in a clear and concise manner.
• Present loan requests to the Loan Committee in a formal credit presentation, including property-level and global cash flow analyses, sources and uses of funds, collateral evaluation, loan structuring, pricing, market analysis, and recommended covenants.
