The Role
Job Description - Designs highly technical solutions for the entire integrated solution components. - Identifies the potential supplier(s) list for the provided solution(s). - Acts as a consultant/advisor for the sales person and client in the complex technical issues and conducts presentations when required. - Reviews the technical components of the proposals ensuring the efficient integration of all configured solutions before submission to the sales team for final compilation. - Prepares technical write-up and associated drawings that describe the solution and highlight the advantages of the proposed solution. - Studies the available solutions of the competitors to be able to provide the optimum solution emphasizing our strong points and hiding our weak points. - Prepares technological trends analysis reports & new solution coverage report. - Participates in customer meetings aimed to describe/discuss the proposed solution and highlight advantages over competitors - Ensures the review of the technical aspect of the Project implementation plan prepared by the Project Managers ensuring it is achievable and within the set time frame - Contributes to the regular preparation and update of the offerings Portfolio. (Introduces new offerings, retires old offerings) - Communicates with Sales, PMs and Technical teams to gather insights and information on different aspects such as clients' needs and projects challenges which can be an added value to the offerings portfolio or changes in proposal. - Assists in educating the Account Management Team on the basic technicalities and functionality of new offerings to guide them in identifying leads within the assigned sectors.

Requirements
Personal Skills - B.Sc. of Engineering, Computer Science - Excellent communications and presentations skills - - V.good negotiations skills - Very good command of English language - - Very good usage of Microsoft office products Technical Skills - B.Sc. in Engineering (communications, electric power, mechanical or mechatronics) - - Communication and Electronics Engineering - 5+ years of Presales experience OR 3-5 years field experience followed by 2-4 years of Presales experience - Excellent pre-sales technical skills. -Technical writing skill

Desired Skills & Experience:
+ At least 10 years application pre sales experience required

- Technical qualify leads from Accounts Managers and Partners (from RFPs, customer calls, etc).
- Work with BA Technical team to design solutions that meet Customer’s and lead the development of the technical proposal.
- Work with internal departments to develop and quote cost-effective solutions that match the Customer’s business requirements, budget and Advansys profitability targets. This will include working Account Managers to develop financial proposals (and business cases when needed).
- Develop Customer Demos/PoCs (if a developer from the BA Tech team is assigned, then you will need to lead those developers work to ensure they deliver what is expected and on time). This includes developing the PoC Charters and working with Customer’s to approve them.
- Continuously improve all BA related templates used (pricing sheet, proposals, charters, etc.).
- Work with Account Managers and BA Performance team to develop post live metrics measuring actual ROI vs forecasted during proposal and business case development.
- Build and sustain relationships with customers for sales/upselling/cross selling.
- Provide input to budget discussions (revenues and cost).
- Identify and manage enrollment and management of partners that are part of the business unit’s plan.
- Recognize and understand market trends, customers’ needs, technology development to anticipate potential opportunities and make suggestions for possible solutions and partnerships.
- Promote the company’s products/services addressing or predicting clients’ objectives.
- Building vertical knowledge and expertise to become the customers’ trusted advisor.

**Department Overview**: The Pre-Sales Technical Architect role will form part of the International Presales & Strategy team to design and deliver complex mission critical voice and data systems in the Unified Communications space. The Pre-Sales Technical Architect will work in the pre sales phases of projects and may support multiple projects in parallel. There may also be a requirement to provide support to post sale activities or Centre of Excellence team.

The position is to work independently and in partnership with the Unified Communications sales, engineering, product management, proposals, pricing, and system implementation teams to provide technical responses for budgetary, sole source and competitive bid responses within a highly defined time period. The position acts as the owner of the technical solution for a customer design. The position requires the ability to analyze a customer’s existing system and design complex solutions that meet the customers needs.
**Responsibilities of the Pre-Sales Technical Architect include, but are not limited to:

- To sift through all customer engagement and be able to quickly identify key requirement concerns which will have a great impact on the solution design.
- Engage and address customer’s technical concerns and requirements comprehensively (hardware, software, interface and security) at both architectural levels as well as down to sub-system component levels.
- Liaise with our Product Development team by presenting the architectural and functional needs of the required solution and to secure product/solution commitments meeting customer’s delivery and implementation schedule.
- Provide technical leadership to and work with the engineering team for areas concerning system capacity sizing, coverage analysis, traffic profiling ensuring most effective design to address customer’s technical and operational requirements.
- Support RFP/proposal generation, develop Bill of Material, selection of 3rd party vendor solutions, SOW (Scope Of Work) write-up, trials, demo’es, tradeshows etc.
- Be a trusted advisor to regional customers and the internal sales teams.

**Basic Requirements**:
**Educational Background**:
Graduate engineer from an accredited college or university. Degree, H.N.C, or equivalent in Telecommunications, Electronic Engineering, or related discipline.

**Experience**:
5 years related experience in Sales / Pre-Sales environment.

Strong background in the** **design/deployment of systems solutions** within the mobile communications industry.

Experience of** **complex project integration **including interface definition

Good communication skills and confidence to present solutions to potential customers Technical knowledge

Good understanding of **wireless technologies** such as LTE

Knowledge of relevant standards e.g: 3GPP, LMR

Good understanding of MVNO business processes including subscription and device Provisioning; billing and customer support

**Knowledge of Mobile Device Management platforms and services**
