SAP Project System (PS) Consultant
Job Summary
The SAP PS Consultant is responsible for the implementation, configuration, and support of the SAP Project System module to enable effective project planning, execution, monitoring, and financial control. The role ensures integration of PS with FI/CO, MM, SD, and other modules to support end-to-end project lifecycle management, particularly for capital projects, internal projects, and customer projects.
The consultant works with project management and finance stakeholders to streamline budgeting, resource planning, cost tracking, and revenue recognition.
Key Process Knowledge
The consultant must demonstrate expertise in:
- Project Structures – Work Breakdown Structures (WBS), Networks, Activities, Milestones.
- Budgeting & Cost Planning – project budgets, forecasts, version management.
- Project Execution & Monitoring – actual cost tracking, confirmations, status management.
- Billing & Revenue – resource-related billing, milestone billing, revenue recognition.
- Integration with FI/CO, MM, SD, PP – cost allocation, procurement, and settlement.

- Investment Management (IM) – capital project planning and asset capitalization.

Experience

- At least 2 full-cycle implementations in SAP Project System.
- Strong knowledge of integration with FI/CO, MM, SD, and Asset Accounting.
- Experience in capital projects, internal orders, and investment management.
Technical & Functional Skills
- Expertise in WBS, networks, milestones, and project budgeting.
- Hands-on experience with cost planning, revenue recognition, and settlement.
