About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior SAP FI-CO Public Cloud Consultant to join our growing team. This role focuses on delivering end-to-end SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud Finance and Controlling (FI-CO) solutions to enterprise clients. You will work closely with stakeholders to analyze business needs, design scalable solutions, and lead implementations that drive operational efficiency and compliance.
As a senior consultant, you will serve as a trusted advisor, guiding customers through best practices for cloud-based financial processes and ensuring optimal use of the SAP Public Cloud platform.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud FI-CO implementations and enhancements for global clients.
- Conduct requirements-gathering workshops and translate business needs into system configurations.
- Configure FI-CO modules, including but not limited to:
- General Ledger (GL), Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR)
- Asset Accounting (AA), Bank Accounting (BA)
- Cost Center Accounting (CCA), Profit Center Accounting (PCA)
- Internal Orders, Product Costing, and Profitability Analysis (CO-PA)
- Design and document functional specifications for integrations, extensions, and reporting.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (SD, MM, PP, SuccessFactors, etc.) to ensure seamless end-to-end processes.
- Provide expert-level guidance on SAP Activate methodology and best practices for public cloud deployments.
- Support data migration, testing (unit, integration, UAT), and cutover planning.
- Deliver training and knowledge transfer to client teams.
- Act as a subject matter expert on regulatory compliance, tax localization, and financial reporting in multi-country environments.
- Offer ongoing post-go-live support and continuous improvement recommendations.
Required Qualifications
- 7+ years of hands-on experience in SAP FI-CO, with at least 3+ years in S/4HANA Public Cloud implementations.
- Strong knowledge of SAP Activate methodology and public-cloud best practices.
- Demonstrable expertise in core FI-CO areas: GL, AP, AR, AA, CO-PA, and controlling processes.
- Proven track record of leading full-cycle SAP implementations and driving workshops with C-suite and business stakeholders.
- Solid understanding of integration points with other SAP modules (SD, MM, PP) and external systems.
- Familiarity with localizations, tax, and statutory compliance across multiple regions.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills.
- Excellent communication skills in English (both written and verbal).
- Ability to work effectively in a fully remote, distributed global team.
Preferred Qualifications
- SAP Certified Application Associate – S/4HANA Cloud, Public Edition – Finance or equivalent certification.
- Knowledge of SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP) extensions, Fiori apps, and embedded analytics.
- Experience with Agile delivery models (Scrum, SAFe, or similar).
- Multilingual skills (e.g., German, French, Spanish) are a plus.
- Prior consulting experience with Big 4 or top-tier SAP service providers.

Key Responsibilities:
Assist in the configuration and implementation of SAP Controlling (CO) processes, including Cost Center Accounting, Profit Center Accounting, Internal Orders, and Product Costing.
Collaborate with business users to gather requirements, perform process mapping, and conduct gap analysis under the guidance of senior team members.
Support the configuration of cost element accounting, cost object controlling, activity types, allocation cycles, and profitability analysis (CO-PA).
Assist in the integration of CO with other financial modules such as General Ledger (FI-GL), Asset Accounting (FI-AA), and Funds Management (FM).
Contribute to the development of functional specifications for custom reports or system enhancements related to Controlling.

Qualifications and Requirements:
Experience:
1-2 years of experience in SAP Finance, with a focus on Controlling (CO) processes.
Exposure to SAP S/4HANA Controlling is a plus but not mandatory.
Experience in supporting SAP implementation or transformation projects is desirable.
Technical Skills:
Basic knowledge of SAP CO processes, including Cost Center Accounting, Profit Center Accounting, Internal Orders, and Product Costing.
Familiarity with integration points between CO and other SAP modules such as FI-GL, FI-AA, and FM.
Ability to prepare functional documentation under the guidance of senior team members.
Proficiency in SAP tools and technologies, including SAP Fiori, is a plus.
