Key Responsibilities

• Provide technical support to sales, including customer visits and pre-bid presentations.
• Prepare accurate and competitive technical & commercial proposals for mechanical projects.
• Review tender documents, specifications, and drawings to fully understand client requirements.
• Collaborate with the engineering team to prepare technical solutions and selections for sales units.

• Solid knowledge of mechanical systems and equipment ( Rotary lobe pumps, piping, treatment plants, pneumatic valves, side channel blower).
• Experience with turnkey projects in water, wastewater, chemical, or manufacturing sectors.
• Strong analytical and negotiation skills.
• Very good command of English and MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint). Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

Role Description

The Proposal Engineer will be responsible for preparing and writing proposals, supporting the electrical engineering team, and collaborating with sales and procurement teams. Daily tasks include researching project requirements, drafting proposal documents, customizing proposals based on client needs, and ensuring timely submission of proposals.

1. Proposal Preparation

• Analyze and review tender documents including scope of work, specifications, drawings, BOQ, and contract terms.

• Prepare detailed technical and commercial proposals for UPS Systems.

• Coordinate with engineering, procurement, and other internal departments to gather technical and commercial inputs.

2. Cost Estimation & Quotation

• Prepare cost estimates for materials, equipment, labor, and subcontracted services.

• Request and analyze quotations from vendors and subcontractors.

• Prepare cost comparison sheets and pricing summaries for management review.

• Ensure that the final proposal meets budgetary and technical requirements.

3. Technical Evaluation & Compliance

• Ensure proposals are technically compliant with project specifications and client requirements.

• Conduct risk assessments and identify potential deviations or value engineering opportunities.

• Prepare technical clarifications, queries, and deviations lists for clients as needed.

4. Documentation & Submission

• Prepare complete proposal documentation, including method statements, compliance sheets, project schedules, and technical write-ups.

5. Communication & Coordination
