Heavy Equipment Maintenance
Engineer
to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the reliability and efficiency of our heavy machinery through regular maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules for heavy equipment.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues.
• Conduct regular inspections to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and inventory.
• Collaborate with operators to optimize equipment performance.
• Recommend and implement upgrades or modifications for improved efficiency.
• Provide training to operators and junior staff on maintenance best practices.

Qualifications:

• A degree in Mechanical Engineering is a must.
• Proven experience in heavy equipment maintenance (1:3 years preferred).
• Strong technical knowledge of machinery systems (engines, hydraulics, electrical).
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills.
• Certifications in equipment maintenance are a plus.

Overview

• Lead and supervise the Mechanical Maintenance activities of Sokhna plant Quarry Mobile Equipment

Responsibilities:

1-Health & Safety:

• Adhere to all Lafarge, H&S rules and regulations at all times and wear proper safety equipment while on plant grounds
• Fully committed and aligned to the safety rules, policies and annual H&S objectives set
• Clarify safety rules to the team members and make sure that all team members practicing properly
• Implement Lafarge Safety Standards and Integrate safety into all maintenance operations and ensure working conditions and safety at work (Lafarge employees and contractors).

2-Functional:

• Ensure mechanical repairs of mobile equipment are performed properly in compliance with company policies and manufacturer standards.
• Provide technical assistance for technicians in complex technical problems.
• Manage equipment repairs and report the results to the responsible departments as operations or maintenance.
• Investigate the root cause of failures and take actions to prevent re-occurrence.
• Investigate & report all significant major deviations from normal operating processes like operator misuse and road breakdowns.
• Inspect and monitor work areas, test tools and equipment to ensure proper housekeeping and safe working conditions
• Perform & discuss with maintenance team jobs SWI & risk assessments
• Evaluate and track maintenance team performance and manage Individual development plans and performance KPI's review.
• Track the cost of each Equipment through recording of all expenditures of each vehicle, maintenance, spare parts, external repairs, etc. and report the total Maintenance cost for all vehicles at the end of the year.
• Review, Evaluate, Coordinate and Approve the work duties performed by the external Sub-Contractors such as engine overhauls or Parts reconditioning.
• Cooperate with the other departments for PM activities outcomes and receive technical issues complains in order to plan and take necessary actions
• Perform the technical evaluation of the parts submitted by different suppliers & recommending accepted offers.

Faculty of Mechanical Engineering

Technical Skills:

• SAP
• Caterpillar SIS
• Caterpillar ET
• Microsoft Office.

Experience:
3 - 5 years in Caterpillar Mining Equipment Repair

Business digital transformation:

• Analyse the need of the business to ensure that the sales department has the tool needed to steer business effectively
• Continuously translate daily/monthly sales KPIs on more visual and effective way through using power tools such as (Power-BI)
• Work closely with the IT department for analysis of backend data generated from all our systems (SWT, GO, excel etc.)
• Cooperate in solving system issues generated during normal operation

Process optimization

• Collaborate with subject matter experts to identify business requirements for developing processes
• Partner with subject matter experts to create process documentation to be used in implementation process improvement

Other Tasks

• Assist the sales operation manager in Traffic letter issuance
• Assist in dealer target achievement calculations on a quarterly basis
• Issue CR/DN related to normal sales department operations such as (Demo & courtesy, Variable margin etc.)

Ad-hoc projects

• Assist sales management , senior manager in Ad-hoc projects related to sales department
