Position Summary

Operates assigned equipment or areas of the Plant. Performs and reports on operational related activities per the Operations Dashboard (OPD)-Tasks List. **Responsibilities / Duties**:

- Follows Operating Discipline policies, principles, procedures, standards and practices to ensure safe, reliable and efficient operation of assigned plant areas. Ensures adequate operating discipline is available for all planned and unplanned activities.
- Operates and field checks process equipment. Monitors process conditions, key performance metrics, equipment and control systems and makes appropriate decisions to maintain and/or achieve desired rates and conditions aligned with Plant/Site/Business goals.
- Performs scheduled operational and related tasks and tasks that arise as a result of resolving unplanned events.
- Works with shift team members and other shift teams to leverage skills and knowledge to balance workload ensuring assigned tasks are completed by due dates.
- Conducts effective shift relief, as defined in facility specific operating discipline and tools, to ensure effective communication and handoff to arriving shift team.
- Maintains qualification in assigned areas, per facility policy, and completes training goals in a timely manner. This includes using discretionary time to address skills and knowledge gaps.
- Mentors and trains new and existing operations personnel on process operation, troubleshooting and the use of operating discipline in alignment to plant's training process.
- Performs Immediate Response activities, as assigned.
- Initiates and documents preliminary investigations according to plant specific process/criteria and participates in formal and informal Root Cause Investigations for events involved in or by request.
- Tracks and utilizes the plant's key performance metrics on shift that are applicable to the Operating the Plant role to optimize operations and identify improvement opportunities. Uses process knowledge and skills to make improvements in plant performance and operating discipline. Proactively identifies improvements and opportunities utilizing the facility improvement processes, appropriate management of change processes and communication tools.
- Performs Autonomous Maintenance, including minor repairs and preventative maintenance, utilizing appropriate policies, procedures, processes and disciplines. Note: Subject to local agreements.

**Experience**:

- Short-Cycle Tertiary Degree (i.e. Associate's Degree) in Process Technology or related field plus process operations, manufacturing or other related experience preferred. In lieu of degree, equivalent years of experience required.
- Production Unit certifications typically required.

7. Review and analyze production and downtime reports daily. Follow-up with appropriate resources to systematically eliminate sources of downtime

8. Lead the implementation of national and local initiatives for the production area (product, packaging, new technology)

9. Utilize visual factory concepts to control and organize the work

10. Coaches and provides constant feedback for the development and improved performance of production personnel

11. Develop staffing and skill building plans for the production area that directly links to delivering yearly AOP. Work closely with HR for effective implementation

12. Conduct performance appraisal for the line managers and ensure it is done for the rest of the production area

13. Responsible for the selection, on-boarding and recommending for termination of production line personnel

**Qualifications**
- Engineering degree preferably in Mechanical/Industrial or Mechatronics field
- 6 - 8 year experience in beverage and/or food industry
- Good knowledge of production management and operations
- Good communication skills in English and Arabic
- Proficient with computer usage of excel, word and PowerPoint
- Possess leadership abilities and the capability to deal with people at all levels of responsibility
- Analytical approach to bring them into resolution

**Position Snapshot**

Function: Supply Chain - Planning

Location: 6th of October

**Position Summary**

Create Detailed Production Schedules taking into consideration material availability, line capacity, labor availability, line related stoppages and maintenance plans. Ensure availability of raw and packaging materials through proper replenishment and communication with suppliers. Drive initiatives to ensure efficiency, optimization and savings in both DPS and MRP. Ensure proper alignment between factory, procurement, supply chain and suppliers.

**A day in the life of.**
- Create a feasible detailed production schedule within the agreed planning time fence with appropriate sequencing so as to optimize asset stream efficiency and stock availability. Agree on plans to minimize impact on customer service levels and working capital.
- Create and optimize replenishment plans for raw and packaging materials over an 18 months horizon to ensure supply of material to production, whilst meeting working capital targets and stock cover policies. Manage exceptions with suppliers & follow up on delivery short falls and quality issue with suppliers. Monitor supplier performance ensuring plans are developed with the supplier and procurement to close gaps as necessary.
- Lead initiatives to improve efficiency, reliability, lot sizes and cycle times with production in order to drive speed and agility at appropriate cost. Work with suppliers and procurement to identify improvement opportunities to drive TDC, service improvements or working capital reductions. Participate in initiatives to improve the TDC and agility of the end to end supply. Complete and monitor production planning master data to ensure accurate production, requirement and supply plans are reflected on GLOBE.
- Ensure proper alignment between supply planners, procurement and factory teams. Build and maintain robust relationships with stakeholders to ensure an optimized plan is published on time, which the teams are motivated to deliver. Drive connectivity between Nestle planning, procurement and suppliers.
- Work with the business to plan and influence timings on new product development. Manage supplier relationship locally within the supply stream. Complete all production planning and network planning master data for NPDs, to ensure accurate production, requirement and supply plans can be entered in GLOBE

**What will make you successful**
- Bachelor's Degree from any relevant field, preferably in SC management, engineering or computer science
- Strong communication skills in order to coordinate across the entire value chain, from the production shop floor, to the suppliers abroad
- 1-3 years of experience in relevant field
