Job Purpose:

To serve as the technical bridge between engineering, consultancy, and marketing by defining, developing, and optimizing TEBA UNITED's product offerings so they align with market needs and company strategy. The Product Engineer will be responsible for ensuring that products are technically robust, manufacturable, and strategically differentiated in the market, while enabling Marketing to effectively convey their features, benefits, and value to both internal stakeholders and customers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinate with consultant inputs and internal engineering for necessary approvals.

• Collaborate with consultant offices to understand client requirements, specifications, and regulatory constraints.

• Translate market insights and competitor analysis into product specifications and product differentiation features.

• Define product roadmaps in conjunction with marketing, engineering, and production teams.

• Assist in preparing technical materials: datasheets, brochures, technical presentations, white papers, product guides.

• Help explain and "translate" engineering features into customer benefits.

• Monitor product in field or post-sales feedback to inform improvements.

• Assist in campaigns with technical input (e.g. value propositions, feature comparisons).

• Monitor trends in electrical equipment (e.g. generators, LV/MV panels, LED lighting, accessories), regulatory changes, emerging technologies.

• Gather and analyze competitor products in terms of features, specs, pricing, quality. Use this to inform product enhancements.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering (or relevant field).

• Prior experience working in consultant offices or in roles closely aligned with consulting (e.g. specification writing, design consultancy).

• 3-7 years of hands-on experience in product design / product engineering in the electrical equipment industry (generators, panels, lighting is a plus).

• Strong understanding of electrical standards, safety regulations, and certifications relevant to Egypt & export markets.

• Good grasp of marketing concepts: product positioning, feature vs benefit, customer use-cases.

• Strong attention to detail.

• Project management skills: able to manage timelines, coordinate across departments, ensure deliverables.

1. Tufting Machine Operation & Sample Development:

Operate, set up, and adjust the tufting machine to produce high-quality artificial grass samples based on design specifications and R&D concepts.

Program and fine-tune machine parameters (e.g., stitch rate, pile height, gauge) to achieve desired turf characteristics (texture, density, appearance).

Lead the prototyping process, creating A-grade samples for internal testing, client presentations, and market feedback.

Perform routine maintenance, troubleshoot mechanical and electronic issues, and coordinate with maintenance teams to ensure the tufting machine operates at peak efficiency.

1. Product Development & Improvement:**

Work closely with the R&D, Sales, and Marketing teams to translate market needs and new concepts into viable product prototypes.

Systematically analyze and test new yarn types (PP, PE, Nylon), blends, and backing materials to improve product performance, feel, and durability.

Actively participate in initiatives to enhance the quality, cost-effectiveness, and manufacturing efficiency of existing product lines.

Manage the product development lifecycle from concept and sampling to pilot production and final handover to the manufacturing team.

1. Yarn Development & Material Science:**

Research, test, and evaluate new yarn materials, including monofilament, fibrillated, and textured yarns.

Experiment with different UV stabilizers, additives, and colorants to develop yarns with superior fade resistance, softness, and longevity suited for the Egyptian climate.

Collaborate with yarn suppliers to source new materials, negotiate specifications, and ensure consistent quality.

Conduct performance tests on yarn and finished turf products (e.g., tensile strength, UV resistance, flammability).

1. Technical Documentation & Quality Assurance:**

Maintain detailed records of all machine settings, material formulas, and production processes for each sample and product.

Develop and document standard operating procedures (SOPs) for the tufting and sample development process.
