Your purpose –

As a key member of our Procurement team, you will optimize local procurement of products and services by collaborating closely with the local management team to understand their current and anticipated demands or needs, deploying local sourcing strategies, optimizing the local supplier base and managing local and cluster suppliers.

Your 'day to day' –

  • Build strong and collaborative relationships with senior internal partners to understand their needs, influence strategic decisions and deliver impactful sourcing solutions.
  • Conduct market and supplier research to advise on strategy and drive innovation.
  • Contribute to local, regional, and global sourcing plans, to find opportunities for alignment and scale.
  • Lead negotiations with major suppliers, ensuring quality, compliance, and long-term value.
  • Handle new & ongoing key commercial relationships with major local suppliers, vendors or subcontractors to ensure that service standards, KPI targets and sustainability metrics are met.
  • Review and approve RFx's and contracts conducted by the team and / or the SSC.
  • Promote contractual standard methodologies in collaboration with Legal colleagues.
  • Champion procurement compliance and optimize the use of PMI's global tools and systems.
  • Collaborate across teams and geographies to deliver procurement excellence.

  • Proven expertise in Supplier Relationship Management and commercial proficiency.

• Monitor and conduct procurement activities, as well as monitor the work of suppliers/sub-contractor to ensure compliance with all quality standards and requirements.


• Provide functional supervision over all line reports in performing their assigned tasks and allocate duties and responsibilities.

• Prepare and /or review the submittals, purchase orders, subcontracts, comparison sheets issued by subordinates against Standard Formats, accuracy and check the reality and correctness of supporting documents, before issuance to the Procurement Manager.


• Ensure that all work is conducted according to the Procurement Department's policies and procedures.


• Attend meetings, conferences, conventions and seminars necessary to network with others involved in the Procurement process (consultants, contractors, suppliers, etc.) to improve the Procurement Department function and effectiveness.


• Assist in solving problems and escalate the unsolved problems to the Procurement Manager for advice.


• preparing both technical and financial comparisons to determine the vendor after negotiating with suppliers and sub-contractors to obtain optimum quality, cost, terms in accordance with project requirements.
