**GENERAL PURPOSE**:
A leading Maritime Company is hiring an experienced HSE Engineer. The person assigned to this position will be responsible for the maintenance and control of QHSSE’s practices both on site and in the office, as well as inspecting all activities and equipment to reassure proper operation and implementation of procedures.
**MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES**:
- Advises the projects workforce with all QHSSE’s matters and organizes training, inductions, and toolbox meetings.
- Inducts all new personnel with QHSSE polices.
- Participates in the review and development of the Project’s QHSSE plan.
- Assists in developing QHSSE policies and procedures, as well as recommends revisions of documents, as necessary.
- Ensures dissemination and implementation of new / revised QHSSE policies and procedures across the project.
- Monitors the daily QHSSE performance of company and identifies issues that require corrective action.
- Participates in or conducts QHSSE training for the Projects personnel as appropriate.
- Follows-up the implementation of the safety management system within field operation.
- Executes audits and inspections to ensure the effectiveness of QHSSE’s programs.
- Oversight of the auditing of Health and Safety practices across the project; the documentation of findings; the determination of corrective actions; and the monitoring of implementation plans for corrective actions.
- Coordinates the provision of adequate safety and accident prevention coverage throughout the various operational areas.
- Participates in accident / incident investigations, the documentation of causative factors, and the preparation of reports.
- Escalates and communicates important QHSSE’s issues and improvement initiatives to the QHSSE manager.
- Identifies and evaluates QHSSE’s risks and reports them to QHSSE Manager.
- Prepares (Daily, Weekly and Monthly) offshore QHSSE reports.
- Reports to QHSSE manger gaps in QHSSE performance and equipment/ needs to support safe execution and offshore operation.
**QHSSE RESPONSIBILITIES**:
- Support the organization’s policy commitments and other applicable Arrangements related to its QHSSE management system.
- Take reasonable care of their own health and safety.
- Take reasonable care not to put other people - fellow employees and members of the public - at risk from what they do or don't do in the course of their work.
- Notify their line manager about any health, safety, or environmental concerns they have.
- Suggest improvements and being active in the general improvement of all Systems and methods of work to ensure Company operations are carried out in a personally and environmentally safe, reliable, and cost-effective way.

**Requirements**:
**EDUCATION**:
BSc. Of Engineering or any equivalent field
**KNOWLEDGE**:
- Very Good knowledge of HSE Standards & Diving Standards. (OSHA, NEBOSH, NIOSH, IOSH, IMCA, IOGP, ISO, SMS, etc.)
**EXPERIENCE**:
4 - 7 years’ experience in offshore projects QHSSE.
**SKILLS**:
- Good knowledge of AutoCAD.
- Excellent knowledge in Microsoft office.
- Good knowledge of project management tools (MS project).
- Fluent in English written & spoken.
**COMPETENCIES**:
