**Business Development Manager - Renewable Energy - North Africa**
My client is an trailblazing renewable energy company on a mission to light up North Africa with clean and sustainable power. Their team of innovators and dreamers is dedicated to harnessing the region's immense renewable energy potential.
To strengthen their business, they are seeking a sharp-witted and charismatic Business Development Dynamo to join our squad and spearhead their growth in Middle East and Africa, with North Africa being an important region for the business.

As Business Development Dynamo for North Africa, you will unleash your charm, wit, and business acumen to uncover exciting opportunities in the renewable energy sector. **Responsibilities**
The role will include, but not limited to, the following responsibilities:
**General**
- Develop C&l projects in North Africa, with a particular focus on Egypt and Morocco
- Develop and implement strategic sales strategy for North Africa
- Develop and manage key relationships with strategic developers and EPC's in the region
- Undertake and be responsible for the full business development life cycle including:
- Potential client identification
- Client engagement
- Client due diligence
- Strategic client management
- Site assessments and feasibility studies
- Project sizing and tariff pricing
- Proposals and presentations to potential clients
- Preparation, negotiation and signing of PPA's, leases and other revenue contracts
- Preparation, negotiation and closing of EPC, EPCM and O&M agreements
- Management of EPC and O&M agreements
- Manage client queries during construction and operations with the support of the technical teams
**Reporting**
The role is to be initially based in Nairobi for a period of c. 6 months and subsequently in North Africa, with Egypt likely. Alternatively the client is open to have someone based in Egypt from the beginning.
**Key skills/Competencies/Experience**
- Minimum 7 years experience in business development/sales to multinational corporations active in North Africa. Exposure to renewable energy and experience working for a multinational corporation would be viewed as a plus.
- Established relationships with potential customers for in North Africa.
- Advanced use of Microsoft Office suite.
- Excellent written English and Fluency in Arabic
- Good communication and relationship building skills.
- Enthusiasm and commitment to working in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
- Good people management and team player while having the ability to work independently.
- Willingness and ability to travel and visit customers across Africa.
- A passion for the decarbonisation industry in Africa and contributing to delivering projects.
**Qualifications**
- University Degree (Engineering, Finance).
- MBA would be an advantage.
**Location**: Egypt/ Kenya
**Salary Package**: 100,000 to 150,000 USD Per Annum
