Network Operations Engineer
to join our team.
Job Description:
- Execute the implementation and configuration of network security solutions for new and existing customers
- Deploy and integrate firewalls (e.g. Fortinet, Sophos, Palo ), WAF, VPNs, and other network security appliances.
- Implementation of EPP and EDR solutions (e.g. Kaspersky, CrowdStrike, Forti EMS…)
- Provide operational support for managed security services customers, including monitoring, health checks, and troubleshooting.
- Perform regular security device upgrades and patch management.
- Assist in investigating and responding to network security events.
- Provide analysis and remediation recommendations for vulnerabilities identified in the network infrastructure.
- Configure security tools to support and maintain PCI DSS compliance. Conduct security assessments and generate reports for client stakeholders.
- Create and deliver detailed technical documentation, including network diagrams, design documents, and operational runbooks.
- Clearly communicate project status, technical details, and recommendations customer audiences.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science or a related field is a must.
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in a network security role, with a focus on implementation and operations.
- Proven experience working in a client-facing, managing multiple customers simultaneously.
- Deep, practical experience with implementing and managing Firewalls & WAF.
- Hands-on experience with site-to-site and remote-access VPN technologies (IPsec, SSL-VPN).
· The CompTIA Security+ certification is required.
- knowledge of security frameworks and compliance standards (e.g., PCI, NIST, ISO 27001)
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills in complex, multi-vendor environments.
· Must be proficient with protocol analysis tools like Wireshark for deep packet inspection, analyzing traffic flows, and identifying anomalies.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects and priorities effectively.

- Responsible of end-to-end performance for fixed network services serving ADSL customers and corporate customers.
- Responsible of supporting mobile data service by investigating with core and packet core teams for solving any issues can affect the service in the transport network and international gateways and trapshooting with international providers.
- Manage the MSAN interconnections and peering points between Orange and Telecom Egypt for residential and cooperate customers ADSL/SHDSL.
- Develop and enhance the IPNO team objectives , policies , processes, procedures, workflows, and associated systems requirements then drive their implementation and use
- Provide detailed analysis and present periodic business reviews of operational performance to include service improvement plans
- Monitor and audit the team performance against objectives and keep the work energy in the highest level in order to gain the maximum output from the team members and maintaining the service quality
- Ensure that IPNO team meet the network availability, MTTR, and ticket handling objectives while providing hands on leadership during network and systems events
- Work with vendor representatives and other Technology teams to coordinate, escalate, and resolve service interruptions as expeditiously as possible
- Act as an escalation point for the problems of POP's entry and communicate directly with Telecom Egypt responsible to solve such issues to minimize the customer down time problems and respond appropriately to crisis intervention
- Work as a project manager for the projects that related to developing new tools in order to improve the working efficiency and environment
