Scope of the Medical Manager Job:
- Utilizing all available medical resources / expertise to develop and enhance KOLs management & enforce scientific collaboration with major medical associations across the country.
- He / she should provide the best use of Scientific data, research results and medical updates to customers as well as internal; stakeholders to ensure Viatris Egypt activities are well-supported by the substantiated scientific evidence.
MAIN REPONSIBILITIES / DUTIES
- Support Medical affairs for Egypt & Reginal medical assignments as per need
- Leverage Medical affairs in country teams to perform medical & corporate excellence in medical affairs
- Develop and implement strategic medical directions within organization
- Drive & develop and implement company policies and procedures
- Develop and execute patient awareness & educational programs to maximize Disease area penetration
- Provide proactive input in the strategic medical management and marketing
- Develop and organize medical activities in coordination with the Marketing group, such as: Local & regional workshops, scientific symposia, local & International speakers’ tours.
- Prepare and compile medical resources / Products’ Scientific data/Clinical articles/Publications/Studies/Journals/Slide-kits and Presentations, to be used according to local SOPs
- Identify Disease area/Customers’ Medical needs and exchange inputs
- KOL Management: Participate and develop Key Opinion Leader’s (KOL’s) & Health Authorities partnership programs in coordination with the Marketing / Corporate Affairs teams.
- Develop, recruit and train local Speakers within the frame of local SOP.
- Design and execute Advisory Boards / Expert Council Meetings for respective therapeutic areas.
- Prepare and conduct medical training sessions for the field force & Cross-functional teams as per need.
- Update Product Medical-Training modules & materials.
- Contribute to the design, review, and approval of promotional materials
- Develop effective scientific relationships with key influencers and external organizations
- Provide the necessary medical support to Clinical Research, MI, PR departments.
- Participate in the audit preparedness aiming at obtaining a clean audit report.
- May handle and possibly support the Investigator-Initiated Research “IIR” that can advance medical and scientific knowledge about Viatris products, provide promising medical interventions with focus on area of unmet medical need.

**Purpose of the Position**:

Preferably knowledgeable within Urology. Experience in other therapeutic areas relevant to Astellas will also be considered.
Fluent in written and verbal business English & Arabic
Understand developments at national level and local issues and tailoring local activities to adapt strategy and tactics as appropriate.

Disease management:

**Scientific support to Field Force:**

**Interaction with internal functions**

A leading pharmaceutical company is actively recruiting a Medical Science Liaison for their Cairo office.

Key aspects of the role include:
- Develop and maintain scientific and medical expertise.
- Facilitate scientific engagement, scientific exchange, and medical information.
- Provide clinical presentations and respond to medical requests.
- Provide medical support for patients and formulary access products following global and local policies and procedures.
- Support the development, implementation, and completion of medical activities.
- Build good relationships with key opinion leaders, healthcare professionals, and organizations.
- Support and back up the marketing, sales, and regulatory departments in scientific and medical issues to achieve the company's objectives.
- Serve as a medical expert for internal medical and sales training.
- Support clinical research and investigator initiated studies (IIS) and observational studies following guidelines and company-relevant standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Attend relevant scientific meetings and conferences and support the development of summaries of key data, presentations, or symposiums.
To be successful you will need to meet the following:
- Only candidates currently based in Egypt will be considered.
- Bachelor's degree in pharmaceutical science (PharmD, PhD, or MD).
- Minimum 2 years of experience in medical affairs within the pharmaceuticals industry.
- Must have oncology experience.
- Expertise in communicating and developing field medical plans and complex scientific information to various stakeholders.
