Summary:

We are seeking an experienced UAE or GCC
"QAQC Engineer"
to join our Construction delivery team for high-rise residential towers and luxury villas developments in the
Middle East
region. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with project management, have worked in leading construction environments, and possess strong coordination and communication skills and should be available to relocate to UAE.

Responsibilities:

  • Monitor, supervise and inspect ongoing construction activities at site to ensure that the work is being performed in accordance with IFC, Shop drawings and specification
  • Inspects and approves incoming materials by confirming specifications, conducting visual and measurement tests, and rejecting and returning unacceptable materials.
  • Develop and implement Project Quality Plan (PQP) and procedures for construction projects.
  • Coordinate the WIR/MIR with the Site Engineer, verify the documents and inspect the activity with the Checklists prior to proceeding with the Consultant.
  • Manage and Witness all Trial Mix of Concrete Mix Design as per standards and specification.
  • Manage and Witness Quality field and laboratory tests of as per required Standards and Track and Monitor logs for Sampling and Testing.
  • Prepare the action plan for closing open NCRs and ensure the implementation at site.
  • Review of ITP's monitor daily field construction operations to ensure compliance with approved Project/s Design drawings and approved Project/s Quality Plans.
  • Arrange for approved 3rd party testing required as per the specification and Consultant's requirement. Monitor the testing and reports.
  • Issuance of Internal NCR/SOR Quality observation for quality control as per standards, codes and specification
  • Conduct workshops, trainings and internal audits to promote a culture of quality within the organization.
  • Reports of on-site test and inspection will be kept in a form of approved format. All the test certificates and inspections reports including from suppliers and / or other testing agencies will be verified by the respective QA/QC Engineer. These reports and test certificates will be arranged and submitted to client or client's representative for review.
  • QA/QC Engineer shall maintain a record of checklist whether the materials are received in acceptable physical condition, damaged, in conforming or non-conformance with the specification.
  • Assist with snagging/de-snagging and final inspections and close out project paperwork and contracts.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in building science or civil engineering.
  • Minimum
    10 years
    of relevant experience.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Civil Quality Management.
  • Excellent coordination, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines under pressure.
  • Familiarity with QA/QC processes, ISO standards, and compliance requirements.
  • Strong knowledge of engineering principles, construction methods and materials.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience working with Gulf-based construction projects.
  • Having DM certification is added advantage.
