We are ramping up our teams specialized in installation of wind turbines manufactured by **Nordex** - our next Onshore Installation wind turbine technicians will:
- Participate in pre-installation and installation of Nordex turbines
- Check and supervise that quality measures and safety instructions are being respected
- Check and supervise the selection and usage of special tools and equipment
- Participate in trainings organized by GWS, incl. Nordex specific trainings
- Inspect and maintain safety gear, company cars, tools and other GWS properties
- You have experience working while installation of Nordex turbines as a WTG technician, ideally proven with relevant certificates (Avanti Ladder, HaiLo, Spanset, Cherry Picker, Telehandler)
- You have a completed mechanical/technical/electrical education
- You have experience in Pre-Installation/Installation/Mechanical or Electrical Completion of NRDX turbines (preferred models: Delta 3000 and Delta 4000)
- Your English is at communicative level
- You are cooperative, communicative, open-minded and flexible - with respect for others and other cultures
- Capable of working at remote sites in adverse weather conditions
- Ability and willingness to travel and work domestically and internationally as required
- Ability and confidence to work at height (includes physical fitness to climb)
- Professional with a high emphasis on Quality and Safety
- Clean drivers’ license and ability to obtain a Passport
- Valid GWO trainings and OEUK Medical Fitness certificate

Today, we are recruiting an Automatic Fare Collection (AFC) Installation Manager to join our High-speed Project Team in Egypt. This is an excellent career opportunity to join a truly high-performance international team (16 different nationalities), delivering a 2,000-kilometer state-of-the-art high-speed rail network that will connect the whole country of Egypt. This means that approximately 90 percent of Egyptians will have access to this modern, safe, and integrated high-speed rail system.
**What are my responsibilities?**
- To follow the evolution of civil construction works at site (Package 1) and ensuring correctness in their handover to Siemens Mobility, prior to the execution of the AFC installation.
- In coordination with our Project Delivery Team, to provide forecast about site readiness dates to start the AFC system installation.
- To be responsible for ensuring that the installation at site is completed on time and within budget.
- Being responsible for the coordination of AFC installation and commissioning teams onsite.
- Coordination of site supervisors related to daily activities and their reporting.
- Support the schedule regular update with all inputs from onsite activities.
- Monitoring and controlling all material that must be installed.
- Acting as a site interface to the customer and external suppliers.
- Working in coordination with the QMiP (Quality Manager) to ensure the technically flawless and economical execution of the assembly and commissioning work.
- To analyze disruptions at site and determine remedial measures with those involved, even if there are conflicting interests.
- In addition, to follow deadlines for commissioning and coordinate them with the Project Manager and monitor compliance with them.
- To follow the AFC installation method statement and be responsible for compliance with HSE regulations on the construction sites.
- To support from site the contract and claim management teams and monitor the quantity survey activities for the scope of delivery.
**What do I need to qualify for this job?**
- You can show that you have completed a university degree in electrical, electronic, telecommunication, civil or engineering discipline.
- At least 3 years of experience in an Installation Management position.
- Preferably previous experience in the domain of installation or maintenance of Automatic Fare Collection systems, ideally in an international environment with longer stays abroad.
- You have experience in the management and coordination of several teams.
- Native Egyptian speaker with great communication skills. Very good knowledge of English, as it is the language used in our Project Team.
- Committed to working in a demanding environment with conflicting priorities and without permanent supervision.
