**Responsibilities**:
- Interface with Engineering and assist the customer with testing or troubleshooting.
- Reproduce customer issues to verify problems and provide feedback to Engineering and Operations teams
- Create entries in our technical support on-line database to accurately document any incident resolution that is not found in our knowledge base.
- Assist in developing on-going training programs for the department.

**Qualifications**:
- Bachelor of Science in Computer Science/Engineering or an equivalent advanced industry certification.
- Minimum 4-year experience working as Support Engineer/ Sr. Support Engineer supporting Enterprise networking or web security products.
- Experience with operating systems such as Linux, Unix, and Free BSD.
- Network troubleshooting experience - Familiarity with tools such as Ping, Traceroute, MTR, and Network Protocol Analyzers such as tcpdump, Wireshark
- Expert knowledge of protocols such as HTTP, SMTP, FTP, DNS etc
- Working knowledge of Apache and IIS Web Server administration
- Working Knowledge of networking and security products and enterprise Network Infrastructure
- CCNA certificate or equivalent experience
- Familiarity with:

- Work with the Manager on scoping, prioritization and resourcing for all team's deliverable
- Extend and enhance Linux cryptographic components - specifically with modules such as OpenSSL/Libgcrypt - with the features and functionality required for FIPS and CC certification
- Collaborate with external security consultants to test and validate kernel and crypto components, achieve and retain FIPS and CC certification, and develop CIS benchmarks and STIGs for Ubuntu
- Work in partnership with the internal project manager to ensure delivery against project goals and milestones, identifying technical risks and mitigating them
- Contribute to Ubuntu mainline and upstream projects to land solutions and benefit the community
- Contribution to continuous integration infrastructure: automated testing and validation
- Self-discipline and self-motivation to support and perform day-to-day engineering activities and deliver to schedules in a globally distributed team
- Communication and collaboration within and outside Canonical to rapidly resolve issues and keep the project on track
**Required Skills and Experience**:
- Significant experience working with open source libraries

**Overview**
Cloud Security Engineer will be responsible for assessing and enhancing the security posture of client cloud environments, identifying vulnerabilities, and recommending remediation strategies. This role requires a strong focus on both technical security controls and process governance to ensure resilient, compliant, and secure cloud architectures. The Cloud Security Engineer will engage directly with clients, guiding them through security assessments, architecture reviews, and implementation plans.
**Required Qualifications**
+ Minimum 5 years of experience in cloud security architecture and assessment, specifically within Microsoft Azure environments.
+ Deep knowledge of Azure security architecture and cloud-native security resiliency patterns.
+ Strong experience with security frameworks and methodologies (e.g., NIST CSF, ISO/IEC 27001).
+ Proficient in vulnerability management, risk assessment, and security compliance standards.
+ Ability to communicate complex security concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
+ Strong written and verbal communication and documentation skills.
+ Hands-on experience with Azure security and governance services: Microsoft Defender for Cloud, Sentinel, Key Vault, Azure AD (Entra ID), PIM, Azure Policy, Azure Monitor, and Log Analytics.
+ Familiarity with Microsoft Security Assessments, such as the Well-Architected Review Assessment (WARA) and Microsoft Security Assessment Frameworks.
+ Experience working directly with clients in customer-facing roles to deliver security assessments and solutions.
+ Solid understanding of process governance, security incident response planning, and Major Incident Response Plan (MIRP) development.
