Missions/Main Duties
HSE Engineer - Lead responsibilities including but not limited to: -
- the development and implementation of HSE policies and procedures in compliance with relevant regulations.

Overview
- Is responsible for ensuring the highest standards of health, safety, and environmental practices within the organization. This includes supporting continuous improvement and compliance with HSE standards, as well as Process Safety Management (PSM) and operational controls implementation. Analyze, develop, and review structured documented programs currently in use, employing the Plan-Do-Check-Act (PDCA) methodology to ensure alignment with business strategies.
Responsibilities:
- Analyzing & develop Plant processes and procedure to ensure conformity with Lafarge Country HSMS and developing process enhancement strategies aligned with country programs & maintaining robust system for document controlling system
- Define, support & follow up the implementation plans of Group and country HSE Standards across all departments within the plant. To ensure compliance and adherence to Lafarge HSMS and applicable HSE local laws
- Deployment of country programs covering the group recommendations including document controlling system
- Monitoring, checking efficient implementation the Critical Control Management (CCM) & Process safety Management (PSM) related actions closure and suitability
- Manage HSE inspections and internal HSMS audits considering line management involvement
- Training, mentoring, and guiding team members in new processes
- Support plant in identifying HSE / Green CAPEX budget based on compliance level and group requirements
- Improve technical Capability of sites HSE Champions and Maintaining champions list updated and reviewed periodically within all BUs with clear succession plans, through group training and webinars or externally if necessary.
- Staying up-to-date with developments in management and process optimization. Carrying out, and leading management of change (MOC) for plant process ensuring implementing robust system, that detects, analyze and following up required actions and carrying out PSSR
- Coach, guide and challenge the plant management, HSE champions, team/ExCo HSE leadership approach
- Maintaining and coordination the technical content of HSE training in the training matrix
- Investigating incidents, shortfalls, issues, and complaints in current business processes
- Communicating ideas and opinions to other members of Plant management.
- Common – responsible for the department: Adhere to and enforce relevant legislation and policies and ensure that highest degree of safety and safe working practices are maintained.
