Role Description

We are seeking
a proactive and ambitious Field Service & After-Sales Engineer to join our growing team at Matik. In this role, you will not only install, commission, and maintain advanced food packaging equipment across Egypt, but also deliver outstanding after-sales support through spare parts handling, technical troubleshooting, and customer care. You will also benefit from international training opportunities in Europe with our partner manufacturers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install, commission, and maintain packaging equipment (Flow pack, vertical packaging, tray sealing, handling equipment).
  • Install, commission, and maintain weighing solutions (
    Multihead Weighers,
    Linear Scales, Smart Scales).
  • Install, commission, and maintain inspection systems (Metal detectors and X-ray inspection).
  • Diagnose and resolve technical issues to minimize customer downtime.
  • Provide training and technical support to customers on machine operation and maintenance.
  • Manage spare parts orders, stock, and logistics for quick after-sales response.
  • Prepare service reports and maintain accurate technical documentation.
  • Support remote troubleshooting and preventive maintenance.
  • Collaborate with sales and service teams to enhance customer satisfaction.
  • Ensure all service activities follow safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Mechatronics Engineering.
  • 2–3 years of equivalent experience in servicing industrial machinery (mandatory).
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills with a customer-focused mindset.
  • Fluency in English (spoken and written) is mandatory; Spanish or German is a plus.
  • Willingness to travel across Egypt and abroad for training or service.
  • Knowledge of flow pack, vertical packaging, multihead weighers, metal detectors, or X-ray inspection systems is a strong plus.
  • Holding a valid Schengen visa is an advantage.
  • Familiarity with after-sales support or spare parts logistics is an asset.

Bringing Technology to life
As a Control Field Service Engineer you will be in charge of managing site activities as a Resident Engineer, including, but not limited to, planning, assigning manpower resources and tools, providing technical assistance to complete the work scope according to contractual requirements and ensuring continuous operations at site.

As a Control Field Service Engineer, you will be responsible for:

  • Ensuring total fulfilment and compliance with contractual requirements in close liaison with Baker Hughes Project and Service managers.
  • Leading and executing loop check and commissioning phase performing the functional tests.
  • Leading and executing unit start-up and performance tests ensuring proper and safe operation of the machine by evaluating the running parameters and troubleshoot control system problem as they arise.
  • Preparing field services jobs and interventions with the project managers.
  • Supervising the installation, calibration and set up of instruments.
  • Supervising cable laying, meggering and connection.
  • Writing accurate professional reports acting as single point of contact between Customers and Baker Hughes Engineering team concerning technical issues and interfacing with all involved functions.
  • Using company e-tools to retrieve technical documents and management of packing list, bill of material and drawings.
  • Ensuring all in-field activities carried out safely complying with company environmental health & Safety (HSE) guidelines and procedures.

Fuel your passion
To be successful in this role you will:

  • Have an Electronic/Mechanic Engineer Degree.
  • Have 5+ years related work experience in Oil & Gas industry field activities.
  • Have experience in control system for turbine: MK6 and Mk6E control systems. Mk5 skills would be considered as an additional advantage.
  • Have strong knowledge in rotating equipment control philosophy.
  • Have strong knowledge in field devices, instruments and actuators (servo-valves, thermo elements, transmitters etc…)
  • Have ability to handle special tools like pressure pump, multi-meter, frequency generator, oscilloscope and field generator (MicroCal).
  • Understanding and implementing technical drawings (wiring diagram, P&ID, General Arrangement, etc…)
  • Have good knowledge of English language.
  • Have strong analytic and problem solving skills

Gated compound Tasks:

Handle, plan & modify the daily tasks of GC (Installation/Maintenance) related to:

Business Park:

Acceptance tasks (accepting the new customers installed and assure that the installation process meets the agreed process.

Operation Tasks (Fixing and maintaining the problem that occurs at the building nodes).

Operation tasks (visiting the customers sites and solving their problems after complaining)

Residential:

Units:

Handling and arranging the visit time with the customer.

Wiring the customer at the building basement

Configuring the modem and testing the service from the basement before visiting the customer.

Visiting the customer and confirming that there is no problem in the fiber path.

Wiring the customer and connecting the service.

Installing the STB (IPTV).

Testing the service and delivering the service to the customer.

Installing AP (Access points) if the customer requested.

In case we faced any problem during the installation we proceed testing directly (fiber path, cables, basement switch, and modem faulty).

Villa's:

Accepting the customer ports and path from the Main switch.

Accepting the fiber path from the deployment team at the customer side.

Handling and arranging the visit time with the customer.

Configuring the modem and testing the service B2B to the switch

Wiring the customer and connecting the service.

Installing the STB (IPTV).

Testing the service and delivering the service to the customer.

Installing AP (Access points) if the customer requested.

Network Tasks:

Reviews the ticketing & mailing systems for any reported network issue or alarm to handle within the committed SLA.

Contacts the concerned Field Maintenance Engineer and follow all appropriate action needed within established maintenance standards.

Contacts Network teams and share technical information about network actions and issues.

Set a periodic preventive maintenance plan for network nodes in a predefined standards criterion.

Ensures the clearance of any reported alarm or PM actions completion.

Provide periodic reports for Network statistics, status and PM plan results to the Principal Engineer concerning a specific zone or time window.

Enterprise / ADSL Tasks:

Reviews the Enterprise ticketing system daily to handle the assigned complains and ensure resolving it with its SLA.

Contacts the Technician-Team leader to assign the concerned Technician/ Sr. Technician/ IT Specialist.

Contacts and follow up with the assigned Technician/ Sr. Technician/ IT handle the appropriate field action to resolve the customer technical issue.

Gives clearance feedback to Enterprise/ADSL customer.

Updates the Ticketing system with the case status until closing it.

Provide periodic reports to the principal engineer about the Enterprise/ADSL task statistics and queue status.

Fixed-Voice Tasks:

Reviews the new assigned installation Fixed-voice tasks and set suitable plan with the Technician-Team Leader to complete the physical installation.

Contacts the Technician/Sr. Technician to follow up the installation procedures and complete it.

Emails Telecom Egypt officers with any action needed to facilitate the installation tasks.

Update the requester customer during the task and confirm with him the task completion.

The Field Service Engineer HW (FSE Hardware) is the primary contact for Varian Medical Systems (VMS) customer service and repair needs ensuring that our customers' equipment always operates efficiently. The FSE is responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, installing, upgrading and performing preventative maintenance on all designated VMS equipment according to instructions and company guidelines, each FSE operates in a designated field service territory and represents VMS, this role will be based in the Cairo/Egypt area, with some travel to other distributor-based Areas handled by Varian's Field Service Team in Egypt.

Your tasks and responsibilities:

  • Troubleshoot, diagnose and repair all designated VMS equipment within an assigned service territory, including preventative maintenance, and upgrade installations per VMS guidelines.
  • Manage time and maintain a schedule to include preventative maintenance, installations and upgrades as well as incoming customer calls demonstrating the ability to assess and prioritize the urgency of customer requests and follow-through to completion.
  • Understand and recognize the need to escalate incidents when necessary and/or request additional assistance from more tenured representatives.
  • Examine difficult customer issues, diagnose and resolve the issues and meet established FSR levels.
  • Maintain effective territory management and expense control which includes timely completion and submission of field service and expense reports along with management of consignment and other required documentation according VMS procedures.
  • Develop and maintain strong customer relationships using strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.

Qualifications &Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, test equipment used for verification/checkout and calibration of electronic equipment.
  • You have a minimum of 1-3 Years of experience in field service, medical field service (preferrable).
  • Limited use and/or application of technical documentation, standards, principles, concepts, and techniques in the field.
  • Basic computer usage and debugging skills
  • Fundamental knowledge of delivery system networks and networking techniques.
  • Basic understanding of imaging systems
  • Capable of performing routine maintenance such as follow ups, PMIs and minor STBs
  • Basic accelerator theory knowledge.
  • Be able to interpret customer concerns and translate to machine issue.
  • Required Certifications and Training
  • Excellent fluency in English, verbal and written, required, Fluency in other languages would be a plus but not mandatory.
  • Software and computer skills are required
  • Familiar with business tools such as: E-mail, Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

As a Field Service engineer you will be supporting multi-modality and work as a team member of Service delivery team and reporting to Services Delivery Manager Egypt - Health Systems

  • University degree in Biomedical Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, degree, or any other relevant engineering major.
  • Minimum1-2 years of experience in Diagnostic Imaging (Field or Hospital-based) service environment or relevant positions

Job Description

**MANTECH** seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented **Senior Field Service Representative** to join our vehicle sustainment team in **Cairo, Egypt** . The selected candidate will provide maintenance and logistics support to multiple families of vehicles globally on the Allied Logistics Engineering Capabilities Sustainment (ALECS) program.
**Responsibilities include but are not limited to:**
+ Provide technical support of complex U.S. military ground systems.
+ Plans, directs, coordinates and manages the maintenance operations for assigned TDL organizations.
+ Maintenance support includes operations, system troubleshooting, engineering, design, installation, analysis, maintenance and repair of U.S. systems and subsystems to component level.
+ Effectively applies industry or military standard troubleshooting procedures to localize and isolate faulty system components.
+ Retain and manage technical knowledge databases via the TDL SharePoint site for use by assigned maintenance managers; maintain and monitor the Special Operations Forces Sustainment and Asset Visibility Information Exchange (SSAVIE) account to manage repair part status and reporting.
+ Performs other related duties as assigned.
**Minimum Qualifications:**
+ A minimum of ten (10) years of relevant hands-on experience supporting complex mechanical, electrical, or vehicle systems.
+ Proficiency with hand tools, diagnostic tools, power tools, multi-meters, oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, and welding equipment.
+ Demonstrated expertise in troubleshooting procedures to localize and isolate faulty components in complex mechanical and electrical systems.
+ Background working with light and heavy-duty trucks, tactical vehicles, generators, power plants, aircraft, or other gasoline/diesel-powered systems-military or commercial.
+ Experience in the technical support and sustainment of U.S. military ground systems.
+ Ability to successfully pass a Pre-Employment Drug Screening; must possess a Valid Driver's License for the location in which the work will be performed, a High School Diploma or GED, and a U.S. Passport valid for at least two years beyond the start date.
**Preferred Qualifications:**
+ Prior experience supporting U.S. military vehicle platforms in an OCONUS environment; Willingness and flexibility to travel to and operate within challenging environments.
+ Experience working with maintenance documentation systems and diagnostic software tools; Familiarity with lifecycle management, ECP tracking, and field logistics coordination.
+ Experience maintaining a variety of tactical and support equipment including Material Handling Equipment, cranes, aircraft tugs, wreckers, field support equipment, and aviation ground support carts; Knowledge of generator sets, including inspection, troubleshooting, and maintenance of diesel-powered tactical and commercial generators.
**Clearance Requirements:**
+ Must be a US Citizen and be able to obtain a Public Trust clearance prior to starting this position. Also, must be able to obtain and maintain active Secret clearance.
**Physical Requirements:**
+ Must be able to balance, bend, carry, crouch, stretch, and kneel.
+ Must be able to push, pull, and reach.
+ Must be able to work in high-noise environments.
+ Must be able to lift 50 lbs and small parts.
+ Must be able to work with computers and CRTs, and type on a computer keyboard.
