Job Description
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Kitchen and Laundry Equipment Technician to join our team in Cairo, Egypt. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing a wide range of kitchen and laundry equipment, ensuring smooth operations in our facilities.
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on various kitchen and laundry equipment, including refrigerators, freezers, ovens, stoves, dishwashers, washing machines, and dryers
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair electrical, mechanical, and plumbing issues in equipment efficiently
- Support and maintain refrigeration systems in kitchens, cold rooms, and storage areas
- Ensure proper calibration and functioning of thermostats, timers, and control systems
- Conduct repairs and maintenance in compliance with safety standards and manufacturer guidelines
- Follow organizational safety policies and proper handling of chemicals, refrigerants, and cleaning agents
- Maintain accurate records of inspections, repairs, and maintenance schedules
- Respond promptly to breakdowns and service requests from kitchen and laundry departments
- Collaborate with other technicians to minimize downtime and disruption of operations
- Manage spare parts inventory and request replenishment when required
- Assist in implementing energy and water-saving initiatives related to equipment
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of kitchen and laundry equipment troubleshooting and repair
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, wiring diagrams, and schematics
- Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and refrigeration systems
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and handle emergencies effectively
- Physical stamina to lift heavy equipment and work in various positions
- Valid driver's license
- Familiarity with safety protocols and regulations in equipment maintenance
- Technical diploma or certification in appliance repair or related field (preferred)
- Experience in kitchen and laundry equipment maintenance and repair
- Flexibility to work in different shifts as required
- Customer-focused approach with a commitment to providing efficient service
- Organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and priorities
