**Role purpose**:
The Project Coordinator provides project or programme support and administration function, to technical project, programme and managers, which enables the project or programme manager to deliver a wide range of technical IT and Digital solutions and services to our stakeholders.
The Project Coordinator is managing standard / simple end to end delivery with direct relationships with the project. stakeholders
Responsibilities to include the day-to-day tracking and managing of risk, issue and change logs and delivery plan, this will require working closely with operational areas within Vodafone and 3rd Party Partner Suppliers, using negotiation, coordination, facilitation and communication skills, working proactively.
**Key accountabilities and decision ownership**:
- Creates and executes project work, in a (virtual) cross-functional project team; plans and revises as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements.
- Ensures responsibilities, activities and deliverables are clear and documented for each resource allocated to a project
- Ensures project documents are complete, current, and stored appropriately
- Document processes, create process descriptions and work instructions
- Reviews deliverables prepared by the project team before passing to client.
- Provides regular and accurate reporting to keep the partners and internal stakeholders updated with project status and key risks
- Stakeholder management - coordinate with the management team on the delivery of critical milestones in the project which have significant impact on the project deliverables
- Risk and issue management - highlight any arising risks, provide mitigation plan, also bring any issues up and implement problem solving techniques to resolve these issues
- Ensures the Handover of documentation to business as usual support organization to ensure the Customer is recognized as ‘live’
**Core competencies, knowledge and experience**:
- Project management / Understanding of delivery methodology
- Effective communicator to internal/ external stakeholders.
- Understanding of Key technology solutions.
- Able to manage at mid-level across multiple cultures
**Must have technical / professional qualifications**:
- PMP, Prince2- Foundation

**Responsibilities**
- Manage end-to-end Packaging R&D activities for Innovation, Productivity and Brand Stewardship projects, including technical project management, project scoping, costing, technical research, concept development, benchmarking, supplier liaison, trials, stability testing, reporting, artwork sign-off, launch production support, change management
- Packaging Idea generation / information search for new concepts / products as per AOP / PSP requirements, promotional activities and revenue management initiatives
- Packaging concept closure in collaboration with Category teams as per aligned brief
- New machinery identification / development in collaboration with the Operations team
- Conduct Packaging Benchmarking and work closely with suppliers to identify new opportunities and alternatives.
- Conducting trials, validation to prove concept and scalability
- Consolidate data for various developmental trials such as Shelf life studies, Machinability trials and Transit trials and keep records.
- Interact with Marketing, factory, third party manufacturers, Product development teams for Artwork development, prototype making, planning trials and BOM creation for the smooth commercial launch
- Packaging SQA support - supplier approval and material qualification
- Packaging Regulatory Affairs and PPGA support (input into draft regulations, lobbying support, compliance, implementation of new regulations)
- Packaging Specifications: compile, manage and implement in CAST system
- Procurement support (Supply Continuity, RFQ process)
- Operational support to Manufacturing and Engineering (troubleshooting, quality improvement, line efficiency improvement, variances/concessions, input into CAPEX projects)
- Compile policies, procedures, and guidelines in relation to Packaging R&D
- Packaging Budget: input into AOP planning, tracking and management
- Drive the packaging sustainability strategy, identify gaps and opportunities, execute activities and report on progress.
- Ensure packaging Technical Stage Gate requirements are being met
- Priorities all packaging projects appropriately in sync with the business needs for AOP and PSP
- Manage internal and external resources to achieve product development objectives
- Partner with business team members to assure fluid work processes and outstanding execution
**Qualifications**
- Sc., B.Eng.or M.Sc. degree in material, chemical or packaging related field or Food / Packaging related qualification with 10+ years in a Technical or R&D role within a manufacturing environment preferred FMCG.
- In-depth understanding of various packaging materials, machinery, converting technologies, technical costing models, material chemistry
- Packaging Development Process
- Effective interpersonal, Influencing and communication skills with a proactive and innovative approach to problem solving and new design implementation.
- Demonstrated technical, analytical and project management skills, with the ability to plan and priorities workloads.
- Good understanding of R&D and product development disciplines, as well as regulatory requirements is desirable.
- Fluent in English and computer skills e.g. MS Word, MS. Excel, Power point.
