Job Description
CyShield is looking for Junior DBA’s that will be able to provide physical database support for Open Source databases (Relational / Non-Relational), ensuring the integrity and availability of the database. Monitoring, analysis, and performance tuning at both the Operating System and Database levels and to be involved in everything related to relational and (NoSQL) databases, maintenance, migrations, administration, configuration, etc.
**Responsibilities**:
- Manage, monitor, and tune PostgreSQL and MongoDB.
- Responsible for maintenance of system health for high-concurrency databases.
- Troubleshoot Relational / Non-Relational database performance and scalability issues and implement performance tuning and optimization.
- Independently analyzes, solves, and corrects issues in real-time, providing problem resolution end-to-end.
- Implementing database monitoring & automation concepts to track the issues.
- Assists developers with database best practices and tuning the complex query.
- Manages the creation and modification of database objects to ensure any changes have been reviewed and approved before installing in production environment.
- Ensure 2nd line /3rd line involvement in operation level Issues.
- To maintain an online backup and recovery function that supports the best data recovery time.
Essential Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Communication Engineering, Computer Science, or IT related degree.
- Minimum 1-2 years IT experience.
- Good Knowledge with PostgreSQL and MongoDB for a minimum of 1 years.
- Good understanding of systems performance of PostgreSQL and MongoDB.
- Experience in managing Backup & Recovery Tools with all needed policies.
- Experience in maintaining complex mission-critical production database systems.
- Good Knowledge in (SQL, PL/pgSQL).
- Good knowledge in UNIX/Linux OS.
Desirable Qualifications:
- Experience with Relational / Non-Relational Database implementations, operations and high-availability solution (Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL, MariaDB, DynamoDB, etc.).
- Very Good knowledge of modern software development practices such Docker and DevOps.
- Very Good knowledge in optimizing queries/schemas.
- Experience in Setup Monitoring & Admin Tools, configuration and building metrics.
- Experience in PostgreSQL and MongoDB High Availability Tools.
