1- OEE Management:

1) Monitor, analyze, and improve Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) across the organization to maximize production efficiency.

2) Drive and implement continuous improvement projects aimed at enhancing operational performance and achieving strategic goals.

3) Utilize Lean, Six Sigma, and other methodologies to identify inefficiencies, eliminate waste, and enhance quality.

4) Conduct thorough data analysis to identify trends, root causes of inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement, using appropriate statistical tools.

5) Work closely with various departments, including production, quality, engineering, and supply chain, to implement and sustain improvements.

6) Establish, track, and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to OEE and continuous improvement efforts.

7) Identify and promote best practices across the organization to standardize processes and drive sustainable improvements.

8) Conduct root cause analysis of production inefficiencies or failures, and propose corrective actions to prevent recurrence and improve overall performance.

2- Production Efficiency:

9) Collect, analyze, and flag no scheduled days, and interpret production performance data to assess the efficiency of operations and identify machine stoppages, bottlenecks, and areas for improvement.

10) Track & evaluate production teams to implement machine efficiency action plans aimed at improving production processes, production performance, and challenges; analyze breakdowns in order to reduce downtime; and optimize machine and labor utilization; and conduct meetings twice per week with production supervisors.

11) Check the machine utilization schedule daily to ensure all machines have scheduled Job Orders (JOs) and raise a flag to the FAM team in order to reach maximum machine utilization and follow the escalation matrix between the sales team, FAM Team , and sales head.

12) Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure and monitor production efficiency, identify gaps, and track progress toward efficiency targets.

13) Ensure that the material teams are conducting regular scrap analysis and preparing relevant reports to minimize material wastage.

14) Production Plan vs Actuals: Review the production plan and compare it with actual operated job orders (JOs) to identify discrepancies.

15) Priority Plan: For any jobs that were planned but not operated, create a priority list based on customer urgency and share it with the production supervisors.

3- Maintenance Breakdown:

16) Participate actively in the root cause analysis of the repeated breakdowns and chronic failures

17) Review periodically the failure reason tree for every machine and update when needed

4- Analysis & Reports:

18) Prepare detailed reports on production performance, presenting findings, insights, and recommendations to management for informed decision-making.

19) Daily System Reports: Generate daily system reports for each machine, detailing breakdowns, available time, and production output, and verify machine entries to ensure accurate data in the system.

20) At the end of each month, conduct a comprehensive review of overall production performance, analyze strengths and weaknesses, and create an action plan for the following month.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical maintenance engineering, production engineering, industrial engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of proven experience as a continuous improvement senior engineer or project engineer or in production analysis, manufacturing, or a related role is preferred in the paper/plastic/packaging manufacturing industries.
  • Certifications: Lean Six Sigma Black Belt or equivalent certification is required. Ability to analyze and interpret complex project specifications, blueprints, and production requirements. Familiarity with lean manufacturing (Six Sigma, Kaizen, Just-In-Time (JIT) principles, etc.) and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Business Acumen– a solid understanding of the organization's industry, market dynamics, and key drivers of business performance is crucial.
