Data Science manager

**is part of**:
the Valeo Service Strategic Marketing, Digital & Data Science management team which is the worldwide Aftermarket entity of the Valeo Group

The VS Data Science mission is to generate value from data leveraging different analytics techniques

The data science team will support our product, sales, leadership and marketing teams with insights gained from analyzing company data.

**Responsibilities**:
Establish and lead an agile team of Data Scientists.

Having people management responsibility and duties.

Responsible of the capacity planning and delivery management

Setting the team objectives, competencies and advancement.

Build, maintain the team culture and wellbeing.

Leading the technology management part and guarantee the readiness and competent level of the team in different diversified technology domains.

Responsible for setting the technology and platforms roadmaps, releases plans and guarantee the future readiness of the technology and people.

Responsible of managing the relation, business development and account management with different internal stakeholders including different BGs, PG, and PLs.

Act as the Product Owner of the major platforms and manage the back log, budget and ready stories.

Conduct projects, request and assignment sizing, quotations and commit to sprints & releases deliveries

Explorer and bench mark alternative technologies and solutions to choose the most competitive based on the strategic objective of each platform and request.

Lead and engage in advancement and deployment of a variety of technologies

Lead the support and guide engineers to design, build, test, deploy, maintain and improve technology solutions and models.

Lead, manage and influence technical discussions, and a have strategic influence to provide effective consultation and realize objectives.

Have deep technical inclination and work closely with different engineering teams and stakeholders to define technical specifications and model designs.

Have a high level of autonomy and resolve, even in the different ambiguous phases of new project/product development life cycle.

Have the adequate discipline to follow and enforce best practices when it comes to methodologies, standards and processes.

Responsible of delivering workable releases and packages based on agreed commitment and plans.

Follow Agile and Design Thinking methodologies

Anticipate and solve issues with the project team

Contribute to full collaboration between the project actors (UX design, UI design, management, marketing, communication )

Work with stakeholders throughout the organization to identify opportunities for leveraging company data to drive business solutions.

Mine and analyze data from company databases to drive optimization and improvement of product development, marketing techniques and business strategies.

**Education/Training**:
Computer science, Engineering or Master of Science degree

10+ years of experiences minimum in team management, technology management, delivery management and software development. 7+ years management experience within teams of Data Science, BI, Data Mining and/or Machine Learning.
