ABOUT THE ROLE
As a **Senior Backend Developer, **your role is to extend and maintain our backend services. One of your key responsibilities will be to analyze and discuss requirements, break them down into technical user stories and implement them with a focus on scale, robust performance, and easy-to-use APIs.
Further responsibilities include:
- Technical support of external co-workers and outsourced resources
- Collaboration with Product Owners during the creation and prioritization of technical user stories
- Active involvement in the continuous improvement of our processes, methods, and tools
- Close co-operation with our quality engineers
ABOUT YOU
Other skills include:
- Degree in computer science or equivalent qualification
- 5-8 years of experience
- Solid knowledge of current Java technologies
- Experience working with Spring, Spring Boot, Web-Services and REST-Apis
- Good knowledge of database technologies like MySQL, Microsoft SQL-Server, MongoDB, and Redis
- Experience with search platforms like Apache Solr would be desirable
- Good understanding of agile principles and processes
- Strong drive for results and focus on excellent service delivery; ability to work effectively as part of a small, highly creative team
- Fluent in English is essential (written and verbal communication)
