About The Role
We are seeking an experienced Cloud Platforms Engineering Manager to lead our Cloud Infrastructure, Security, Application Runtime (Kubernetes), and Backing Services domains. In this role, you will manage a team of platform engineers responsible for building and operating the core platforms that enable secure, scalable, and efficient delivery of applications. Your leadership will be instrumental in driving platform reliability, security, and developer enablement across the organisation.
What You'll Do
Cloud Infrastructure & Security
- Platform Ownership: Lead the design, implementation, and lifecycle management of scalable, secure, and highly available cloud infrastructure.
- Security Integration: Embed security best practices across infrastructure, ensuring compliance with internal policies and industry standards.
- Access & Governance: Oversee IAM, network segmentation, and infrastructure hardening to protect critical assets and environments.
- Incident Response: Collaborate with Security and SRE teams for proactive detection, response, and resolution of security incidents.
Application Runtime (Kubernetes)
- Kubernetes Operations: Own the deployment, scaling, and management of Kubernetes clusters across multiple environments.
- Platform Services: Provide and maintain critical platform services (Ingress, Service Mesh, Logging, Monitoring) for application teams.
- Reliability & Performance: Ensure high availability and optimal performance of application runtime environments.
- Automation & Self-Service: Develop automation and self-service capabilities to streamline developer interactions with Kubernetes.
Backing Services (Databases & Middleware)
- Service Lifecycle Management: Manage shared backing services such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, Redis, and message brokers.
- Standardization & Automation: Drive standardization and automate provisioning, scaling, and maintenance of data services.
- Performance & Availability: Ensure the reliability, scalability, and security of all backing services supporting application workloads.
- Best Practices & Governance: Establish operational best practices, backup strategies, and disaster recovery plans for backing services.
Leadership & Strategy
- Team Leadership: Manage, mentor, and grow a high-performing cloud platforms team.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Product, Security, and Engineering teams to align platform capabilities with business needs.
- Continuous Improvement: Stay ahead of cloud technology trends and continuously evolve platform offerings.
- Documentation & Enablement: Ensure comprehensive documentation and knowledge sharing across teams.
Qualifications
Education
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
Experience
- 10+ years of experience in Cloud Engineering, Platform Engineering, or Infrastructure roles.
- 3+ years of leadership experience managing platform or cloud engineering teams.
- Proven experience running production-grade Kubernetes environments and managing cloud-native applications.
Technical Skills
- Deep expertise in cloud platforms (OCI, AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Strong hands-on experience with Kubernetes and its ecosystem (Helm, Operators, Service Mesh).
- Proficiency in Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform, Pulumi, etc.).
- Experience operating databases and backing services (MySQL, PostgreSQL, Redis, RabbitMQ, etc.).
- In-depth knowledge of cloud security practices, including IAM, network security, and infrastructure hardening.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and developer productivity tooling.
Soft Skills
- Strong leadership, collaboration, and communication skills.

The Cloud Services Advisor, reporting to the regional Cloud Recruitment Team Manager, will drive revenue growth by identifying, qualifying, and closing new service provider partnerships in the middle east. You will manage the entire sales cycle, from prospecting and lead generation to negotiation and contract closure, while collaborating closely with internal teams and distribution partners. This role requires a hunter mentality, strong communication skills, and a deep understanding of the cloud computing landscape.
What You'll Do
- Attract new Service Providers to Acronis by reaching out to prospects that have already engaged with Acronis through offline/online events, registered for trial, opened Acronis emails, etc.
- Source new Service Providers prospects via LinkedIn, Salesforce database, connections.
- Connect with Acronis potential Service Providers using the approved tools, including but not limited to Avaya, Zoom, Outlook, etc. to verify the interest level based on certain criteria and BANT qualification, such as: the environment, need, budget, pain points, competitors, decision makers, number of workloads they want to protect.
- All activities must be documented in Salesforce, demo sessions via Zoom should be done with camera on.
- Do the research before reaching out to a prospect and prepare questions based on it, using company's web site, LinkedIn profile, any other public information about the company or contact
- Manage the whole sales cycle: qualification, negotiation, demo sessions with the involvement of the Solution Engineers if needed, negotiating, closing the deal by signing a contract offline or online
- Make sure to sign a contract with quality Service Providers, who are ready to invest into the business with Acronis and plan to stay for a long time
- Manage the pipeline: maintain Service Level to follow-up prospects, provide timely forecast to direct Manager or regional General Manager
- Align and sync with Distributors in the assigned region, including bi-weekly calls, joint marketing activities and events
- Co-operate with all related departments at Acronis to close the deal successfully: Solution Engineers, Support, Sales Enablement, Product Management, etc.
- Understand Acronis brand messages and communicate them effectively to prospects; respect and support sales' role in promoting a positive brand image
- Understand Acronis key competitors and effectively communicate differentiators ("kill points") of our products/solutions
- Receive coaching feedback and participate in individual coaching sessions
- Pass obligatory quarterly upskill training sessions
What You Bring
- 3+ years sales experience as Inside Sales Representative or Lead Development Representative
- Fluent English, both written and verbal
- Proven experience in a Cyber Security company demonstrating a strong understanding of industry practices and protocols is required
- Ability to articulate product's different features, and answers any questions customers might have
- Have strong closing sales skills
