About the Role
This role is integral to supporting the increasing volume and complexity of legal work across the Group's diverse operations. The Legal Associate will work closely with the Deputy Group Legal Manager and the wider legal team to deliver timely, accurate, and business-focused legal support to internal stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial agreements, including but not limited to :
- Construction agreements
- Service agreements
- Supply and vendor agreements
- Shareholders' Agreements (SHAs), Share Purchase Agreements (SPAs), and Joint Ventures (JVs)
- Provide legal support on corporate governance matters, ensuring compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies.
- Support due diligence and legal documentation processes for mergers, acquisitions, and other corporate transactions.
- Conduct legal research and prepare internal memorandum on key legal and regulatory issues.
- Monitor and analyse regulatory developments affecting the Group's business and provide guidance to relevant departments.
- Assist in the implementation and maintenance of legal risk management frameworks.
- Maintain and update legal records and contract management databases.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Law.
- 2–3 years of professional experience, preferably in corporate or commercial practice (in-house or at a reputable law firm).
- Strong knowledge of contract law, corporate governance, and commercial transactions.
- Excellent drafting and negotiation skills with strong attention to detail.
- Ability to conduct thorough legal research and provide practical, business-oriented advice.
- High level of integrity, discretion, and professional ethics.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Fluency in English and Arabic (written and spoken) is essential.
