Amazon is looking for a workplace, Health and Safety (WHS) Coordinator to add to the team:
Year-on-year, as we continue to grow, we need to work as smart as we can, to keep all our team members safe, fulfilled, motivated and empowered. To help us achieve this, we're seeking a driven EHS Officer. With your Bias for Action, we'll need you to step in and help drive health and safety across our fulfillment center in East Cairo
In this crucial WHS position, you'll report to the WHS Manager.
Key job responsibilities
- Lead site risk assessment for current and new activities.
- Lead implementation of site specific WHS standards and guidelines.
- Lead implementation of site WHS objective and programs.
- Promote safe culture among employees by providing daily WHS content to shift briefing.
- Perform frequent site safety audits to identify all non-compliance equipment and/or processes at the site. Work with Operations team to implement solutions to eliminate exposure to these risks and prevent injury.
- Attending to incidents and occupational injuries cases on site.
- Guide and assist area managers on incident investigations, Austin write up and communication of lesson learned.
- Assisting Ops team in Austin follow up sheet and CAPA creation. Audit record-keeping practices and ensure Austin entries to be aligned with global WHS standards and local regulations.
- Ensure the PPE inventory at site and coordinate with procurement for order placement.
- Area Organisation (AO) weekly assignment, monitoring and support.
- Daily Powered Industrial Tool and Trailer Dock Release inspection and communications.
- Daily Action Tracking System monitoring and support.
- Participate in site management safety walk, provide insight into unsafe acts and conditions to management.
- Provide daily update to WHS Manager on objectives progress, incidents, AO ATS, network actions, etc).
- Preparation of WHS committee meeting agenda, MOM write up, ATS creation.
- Daily Permit to Work review and sign off.
- Lead on WHS related procurement and follow up.
- Preparing emergency response plans.
- Managing and conducting emergency drills.
- Managing preparation and training of emergency drills, prepare records.
- Heat Index establishment, monitoring and support.
- Provide support to site specific requests, unplanned events and activities.
- Conduct daily and weekly WHS audits, such as hazard waste room inspection, spill kit inspection, first aid room, etc.
Basic Qualifications
- Education:
- A bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety or Engineering is a standard educational requirement. These programs provide the technical knowledge and training needed to identify, evaluate, and control workplace hazards.
- Occupational Health and Safety programs focus specifically on understanding OSHA regulations, implementing safety management systems, and promoting a safety culture within an organization.
- Engineering degrees, such as industrial, mechanical, or environmental engineering, also provide a strong foundation for safety roles as they teach principles of design, systems analysis, and risk mitigation.
Preferred Qualifications

The Finance & Admin Business Analyst is essential to the ongoing profitable operations for one of the most globally recognized and respected companies in the world. By overseeing our financial activities, you will enable IBM to continue to bring to market ground-breaking innovations such as Artificial Intelligence, Cognitive Solutions, Cloud Infrastructure, and Blockchain technologies, to name a few.
**Your role and responsibilities**
* Handle month end activities for a legal entity
* Handle client communication for the legal entity handled
* Highlight process issues/challenges to tackle
* Generate process improvement ideas
* Participate in calls with client on process related issues
* Work with both internal and external auditors during financial and operational audits
* Process rule & non rule-based journals
* Process intercompany transactions & reconciliations
* Process fixed assets / project accounting transactions
* Perform allotted month end activities
* Perform reconciliations and aging summary
* Independently handle reconciliations of a business unit / legal entity
* Consolidate, review & highlight aged open items in reconciliations
* Perform intercompany transactions & reconciliations
* Gather inputs and support in preparation of financial & Management report
**Required technical and professional expertise**
* Experience in Accounting. Knowledge about the accounts payable vertical.
* Degree in Commerce (B.Com)
* Must have excellent communication skills in English and Arabic (Verbal and Written)
