Job Description
**As Mechanical Engineer within NOV’s RFE Team you will be responsible for the repair and inspection of NOV equipment globally. As part of our aftermarket repair group, you will make recommendations to customers which ensures equipment continuously operates at efficient and profitable levels. As Mechanical Engineer, you will react to equipment down situations as top priority and support servicing and repair projects on products ranging from RFE. A strong foundation to your success in this role will be your ability to interpret engineering drawings/schematics and the ability to interrogate, make minor changes to and fault find on customer systems. You will utilize your existing experience of maintenance and servicing of RFE in varying environments.**
**DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES**:
- Service, repair, overhaul, inspect and identify faults on NOV RFE Equipment on a global basis
- Make recommendations on improving product and systems efficiency, maintaining continuous and high levels of operation
- Report and update relevant documentation including daily reports, survey reports, parts lists and Repair reports
- Read and interpret engineering drawings/schematics to identify and correct faults, redline drawings/schematics
- Collaborate with key stakeholders including Customers, Colleagues and other NOV entities
- Escalate key faults or product failures to relevant department and progress through to resolution
- Promote HSE plans and support the continuous developing of internal policy
- Promote incident prevention for the benefit of employees and customers
- Inspects NOV equipment for conformance with operational standards
- Collaborate with management, engineering, quality and HSE personnel to resolve problems with NOV equipment and recommend measures to improve the operation and condition of the equipment
- Where necessary, liaise closely with other operational teams to ensure continuous improvement of all systems and processes
**QUALIFICATIONS;**:
- B.Sc. Of Mechanical Engineering
**EXPERIENCE**:
- Computer literacy
**SKILL, TRAINING & SPECIALIST KNOWLEDGE**:
- Ability to interpret engineering Drawings/Schematics
- Good level of knowledge of Mechanical system, Pneumatic, Hydraulic and control systems

- Familiarity with 2D or 3D engineering design and manufacturing tools (e.g., AutoCAD, ProE, or other)

The Role
Overview
Support the technical team in the bidding phase to get best quotes especially for generic materials.
Receive the technical team requests for quotations (RFQs) along with favorable payment terms and delivery time, shipping method, etc.
Validate and confirm with the technical office and technical staff the quantity and specifications required per RFQ.
Negotiate and finalize deals with all suppliers and subcontractors.
Issue purchase orders and contracts as per agreed-upon terms and conditions with exact milestones and payment terms. Act as contract administrator until final delivery of project.
Update on a regular basis the suppliers' master data file and ensure that all new suppliers are added with all their contact details on the system.
Prepare monthly reports of RFQs and vendors performance every year.
Maintain an efficient filing system for all RFQs and suppliers' offers and data for tracking and reporting.
Prepare project procurement plan in coordination with the project managers.
Send RFQs to concerned selected suppliers (three suppliers if applicable).
Receive and evaluate technical and commercial offers.
Send offer to be revised technically from pre-sales or project manager, if needed.
Negotiate prices with suppliers to reach best price, delivery time, and quality and prepare a detailed quotation comparison report.
Get feedback from purchasing and logistics about supplier performance.
Evaluate each supplier's performance and submit a vendor evaluation report to the team leader technical procurement.
Conduct market scanning for new suppliers and subcontractors to enhance total cost of ownership in each suppliers' category.
